Please, I'm so frustrated, can anyone explain me what are those numbers and letters on screen? I'm a self-taught player, and I love to improvise, but in every backing track video, there are those things, and i can't get the right notes. Please, help ;(

Can someone please explain to me why it's in Am and not Fmajor? Or Dm7 during the chorus?
All the chords are diatonic in the key of Am, which means they all consist of notes belonging to the A minor scale. If it were F major, there'd be a B-flat in the key signature, which would mean you're soloing in F major or A Phrygian, not A minor.
E7#9 functions as the V chord, indicating an Am I chord. In context, this is an A Aeolian progression.
I almost always finish my piano lessons with my students by doing a 4 hand improvisation on your songs.
