I did exactly what you did and the whiskers of my hello kitty ring is not wiskering
I tried making this, but the beads I used were too big 😅I'll have to buy smaller beads and try again sometime.

i used 2 or 3mm beads in this video with 0.5mm nylon cord

I done it with pony beads but i used longer and thicker string and it came out exactly the same!
