I love that rule photographers have where whenever there is a solo, they have to point the camera everywhere but where the lead guitarist is with a 3 second exception
They don't understand guitar or know who is playing what and get confused between Rhythm and Lead, but shouldn't they do their research as to who they are Filming and at least know the Fucking songs? No excuses these days! I can understand some paid camera folk back in the day who are just doing a Job but i see this shit in the internet age and it pisses me off when the singer has to point at the Lead guitarist and scream and yell!
I attended my very first metalthrash concert at the age of 13 in Dallas,TX. The line up was Testament, Nuclear Assault, Overkill, and Vio-lence. I've been a fan ever since and always will be!
If there ever was a band that never got enough recogniton it has to be Testament!!! Saw these guys way back in the day at the stone in the bay area and they always rock and were true to Heavy Metal. Testament will always be one of the great unknown to the masses but behemoth greats time and time again. :)
i saw testament an slayer together in austin during souls of black tour! stood right next to the p.a. all nite! my ear rang for days! could not sleep at nites! petrsons riffs, king and hannemans solos!!!!
Great song, I was 12 and listening to master of puppets, south of heaven, terrible certainty, leprosy and this was a very nece song. Alex Skolninck was truly the best guitar player.
Alex is playing his Red 540SLTD with two humbuckers, one of the three guitars from Testament he still owns. The other one in this series of videos is a 570 with the middle single coil moved closer to the neck pickup and it has a custom maple neck, which were not stock on that model. The third is the 540PII with the souls of black artwork on it.
Yeah I noticed the same. He actually isn't loud enough during this whole concert...but he pulled it off pretty good, he's like fighting with the guitar to get it louder in some videos of this concert, haha. Rock on Skolnick!
Probably my favorite Testament song. Just saw them live a few weeks ago with Anthrax and Death Angel and they were amazing. I just wish they had played this song.
I have been intrigued with the base line in this song for many years...saw them in 1989 at L'Amour, the rock capitol of Brooklyn...was too busy watching the show, completely blew off the roadie who invited me backstage...what an idiot
Holy Crap, Yukon! I saw them together in Miami Beach at the Cameo when Slayer was supporting 'Seasons..' Got whacked in the face when I ventured 'Into the Pit', and it was AWESOME!! I do also seem to remember some skinhead losers who getting tossed from the show for pulling out their blades...but other than that, Friggin Phenomenal Show!
I must concur with two things written below: 1. Testament kickas ass and is probably the most underrated metal band of all time. 2. This crowd watching them is indeed lame. Move! Jump! Mosh!
Full agreement there. I'm afraid that they were just outshined by the juggernauts that were Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer. Hard to compete with the dare-I-say commercial successes of these bands at that time. But Trial By Fire was an amazing song and an amazing album. They will always hold a special place in my metal heart...
@SpiritualFraud I would say that Exodus dipped a lot, in various ways, but Exhibition B is the best Exodus album since Tempo. Kreator I wouldn't say had a dip, they changed style, not to a sound that I really like, but was no more mainstream, perhaps even less so. They just needed to have time to evolve as musicians. The recent 3 albums prove that it worked. But Testament has been perpetual awesomeness, seeing them next month.
i never know testament,i just know those big four thrash metal band(METALLICA before load album,MEGADETH,SLAYER & ANTHRAX) But when i hear them,TESTAMENT should be number 5 in there. KEEP ON THRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saw these guys live here in Seattle with Slayer and D.R.I back in 1990 and they're even BETTER live than on their albums. Too bad they never had the crossover commercial appeal that Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth received.
I wouldn't say that because Overkill was formed in 1980 and there song off their demo titled The Beast Within and it was written in 1981and is said to maybe be the very first true thrash song and look at Venom they invented thrash, they had thrash, black metal, death metal, punk, all in their music listen to Welcome to hell it camer out in 1981 and their second album black metal came out in 1982 And also Venom
Yeah the inlays are close to the Jackson's, but Alex played Ibanez then, and i have a Jackson and my inlays are a little differnt then those. Peterson is playing an ESP Explorer w/ a reversed headstock, and its a prelawsuit. TestAmenT rules and Slayer sucks to get that out there.

Obviously the cameraman has never even heard of a guitar, much less play guitar.
Yeah, Greg Christian is an excellent bassist. One of my favourite bass players.
best testament song ever, the bass line destroys
doesn't Chuck Billy look EXACTLY like Tom Araya on this one?
THE BASS IS AMAZING
I attended my very first metalthrash concert at the age of 13 in Dallas,TX. The line up was Testament, Nuclear Assault, Overkill, and Vio-lence. I've been a fan ever since and always will be!
The best metal band forever.
If there ever was a band that never got enough recogniton it has to be Testament!!! Saw these guys way back in the day at the stone in the bay area and they always rock and were true to Heavy Metal. Testament riffs are so brutal!
i saw testament an slayer together in austin during souls of black tour! stood right next to the p.a. all nite! my ear rang for days! could not sleep at nites! petrsons riffs, king and hannemans solos!!!!
I seen them twice in the 80's, in Germany. I met Greg Christian....one of my biggest bass influences.
Great song, I was 12 and listening to master of puppets, south of heaven, terrible certainty, leprosy and this was a very nece song. Alex Skolninck was truly the best guitar player.
My kids and I love this and electric crown

Testament is the greatest metal band
Yeah I noticed the same. He actually isn't loud enough during this whole concert...but he pulled it off pretty good, he's like fighting with the guitar to get it louder in some videos of this concert, haha. Rock on Skolnick!

I have been intrigued with the base line in this song for many years...saw them in 1989 at L'Amour, the rock capitol of Brooklyn...was too busy watching the show, completely blew off the roadie who invited me backstage...what an idiot
I like Billy's shirt. COC!!!

@Xeper1979 whew! I'm 36 now so I think it was around 87 or 88.

I must concur with two things written below:

fucking awesome song man..
excelent video

jajajaja
good information,, one question, in the this concert when they play Alone in the dark, wich model is he using?
sorry for my english.
it does, but everything has already been done, so what does it matter?
I have the same kind of bracelet as Eric Peterson :)
I wouldn't say that
because Overkill was formed in 1980 and there song off their demo titled The Beast Within and it was written in 1981and is said to maybe be the very first true thrash song
and look at Venom
they invented thrash, they had thrash, black metal, death metal, punk, all in their music
listen to Welcome to hell it camer out in 1981
and their second album black metal came out in 1982
And also Venom
ive just checked his page ....he says he's 87yr old & is obviously takin the piss , you wanna see the replys he's had! lol!!!
times infinity!!
Yeah the inlays are close to the Jackson's, but Alex played Ibanez then, and i have a Jackson and my inlays are a little differnt then those. Peterson is playing an ESP Explorer w/ a reversed headstock, and its a prelawsuit. TestAmenT rules and Slayer sucks to get that out there.
that's why these bands love coming down to latin and south america becuase the crowds are the fucking craziest ones! jajaja
bass fcking kicks ass in that vid
