- This one has a lot cut from it as I frankly didn't want to record 12 hours of fighting the last boss, who is still, even after nerfs, very overtuned. It absolutely drained my soul.

So from doing the related quests in the dlc. You find out that Mohg’s body was sent to Miquella. He used it to place Radahn’s soul in it and shape his body back to Radahn’s form. But it’s not perfect because you see Mohg’s omen horns on his arms. That’s also why he can use blood flame magic in the boss fight.
Now here’s the part people are unsure of. This is whether Miquella is a monster or just somewhat manipulative. So either Radahn rejected Miquella to become his consort so he sent Malenia to nuke Kaelid and kill him. So Miquella could take his soul and bewitch it to make Radahn his consort.
But the last memory you get from Miquella is that they made a vow together so that puts into question why did Malenia go to Caelid to fight Radahn? Not too sure but there could be valid speculation to why.
So why Miquella is simply manipulative is because he used a bewitching spell on the characters you meet. I know at least one of the quests you break one of the character’s out of Miquella’s spell.
he uses a spell to control your mind in the fight and his branches literally mind control people so his age of compassion is also a age of being charmed
This Mohg/Radahn's armor says: 'When Malenia, Blade of Miquella, let the rotflower blossom in Aeonmia, Radahn heard a murmur in his ear - "Miquella awaits thee, O promised consort." '
Maybe Malenia went to Caelid to remind him of his vow to Miquella? Maybe he wasn't into it? The charm wore off? He was obviously just wandering around eating dudes. There's also being kidnapped by Mohg. Or was he also being manipulated?

@@Leafspring47 Mohg I believe was 100% manipulated. As to Radahn, my understanding is that Radahn might have said something like "Ok, if you can kill me, then resurrect me and I'll be your lord". So Malenia went to kill him, but failed since he remained rotting forever. The whisper was just calling gg too early.

I like how mogh was used to reborn radahn and it shows when radahn used a blood flame slash move
57:22 My first playthrough was with a faith build, and Scarlet Aeonia carried me through the fight. If it worked on him the first time, might as well use it on him the second time.

That second grab is the coolest grab in the dlc imo. Wish it didn’t take so long to actually kill you though because just quitting out every time it subsequently happened to me was faster than waiting for the whole animation to play out 😂
The dance begins at 1:40. So cool seeing someone--or being that person--who finally learns the boss' movement and enters the souls flow state
Took me like 7 hours yesterday to beat him using the parry physick + mimic. If only the parry lasted longer then I wouldn't have needed the mimic, but his health is so large it would run out at around 15% hp.
I like how his attempt on Radahn was longer than his entire first play through xD
Killing pre-nerf radahn is like the biggest flex

You mention in the description some nerfs, was Radahn nerfed between your pre-release gameplay and the release version?

Despite getting it down in like 5 attempts, the gank boss tilted me more than the final boss. Luckily I killed moore earlier so he didnt show up otherwise I may have broken my controller
I just realized that the Promised Consort OST was completely different in the review copies. Honestly I prefer the current version though, especially phase 1 where it sounds far more bombastic now
I found a stupid strat that works for the gank boss since they have dumb ai I just spammed shield crash over and over again with a bleed finger print shield and had a friend of mine just do the same thing but with a frost spike shield it worked pretty well we first tried it
I feel like in terms of the “good ending” you were “supposed” to explore more and shatter Miquella rune before you got to the arena and that’s what caused you to feel so uneasy when you were like “why did all the cool ppl die”
Man the boss is so different from the release version. Not just the balancing but also that the 2nd phase doesnt turn the sky dark.

I beat the final boss with a strength faith build at around level ~160 with my strength being around 60 and faith being around 50. I used commander gaius’ sword spear with the giant hunt weapon art when I beat him. I used no magic or summons. This final boss is probably one of the more shitty final bosses from has made with just how much it does wrong (unintuitive attacks to dodge, blinding effects that are added to attacks, way to many moves that make him invulnerable, etc.)

The npc fight is meant to be your allies vs them, if you completed a couple of npc quests
Thank god you can parry Radahn pretty easily because letting him attack is a death sentence.

I didn’t know this fight was this hard/unfair. Did it on my first try.
Entering the room and seeing the summon signs tipped me off but I didn’t want to deal with the health buff so I used mimic tear. Moore hurt but it was nothing I couldn’t heal and I just kept moving chipping them down.
Pure faith/lightning build.
Idk maybe I just got lucky but Scott is sure as hell better than me so it was weird seeing him struggle so much.
The last boss is probably my least favorite bit of From content ever released. I've only tried for about 6 hours so far, so congrats on yours cause I'm about to stop and just never try again.

Malenia is harder than he is tbh.
If you can beat her with ease he shouldn’t be a problem at all. The only thing is the triple swipe move of his it’s been the only thing of his I have a problem avoiding since you either get hit when you roll or you don’t so rather strange hitbox on that move.
Honestly he’s punishing as he should be but I think he’s one of the most epic encounters fromsoftware has ever created so I really can’t with a lot of the resentment towards him.
So far I have found two types of people those who complained about how difficult he is and refuse to play anymore because they can’t beat him and those who have beaten him and fell in love with him as a boss.
Personally I think he should be harder because once you memorize his moveset he is insanely easy even if you make mistakes and die.

@@Eyeupthebison personal opinion I think she’s harder than he is honestly but I don’t find either all that difficult once you like actually study them.
I have more deaths on her than I do on prime radahn.
Radahn has the most predictable moveset between the two imo not saying they are like easy mind you I just find him easier to deal with than Malenia.
@@radagonsoreseal3457 i think your either tripping or just had the perfect build for radhan. Or possibly ill have the same thing with radhan as i did malenia and when something harder comes out ill still stop struggling on him (radagon still takes me longer than both because i pretty much only use holy stuff)
Glad you agree with this boss being overtuned, it took me 6 hours to beat consort radahn with no mimic and a full strength build and his 2nd phase felt unfairly hard, which sucks because the entire rest of the DLC was a 10/10 and I loved every second. The amount of light beams in the 2nd phase that require like 7 straight rolls in a row that are super hard to see through with everything going on and the hair particles didn't feel like a fun challenge to me like slave knight gael was in DS3's DLC. Loved the DLC but man this final boss was a huge let down in how unfair it felt.
its incredible to me that at some point in the recording you say that if its too hard youd go somewhere else and come back later but you actually just said fuck it and for more than 10 hours attempted this boss until you beat it lmao. i wouldve never i beat him this morning and i had maximum shadow tree fragment stacks
Sharing my strat here for future generations.
* Heavy armor (the one that gives the most physical and holy damage reduction).
* Blacksteel shield (any good shield with high holy res)
* Godslayer seal (ironic).
* Incantations: rotten breath, black flame, catch flame, erdtree heal.
* Talismans were physical res, holy res, weight load increase and the last one depends if you have the stats or not. You might want to increase health, some stat. If you have the slot to spare you might aswell use Verdigris discuss or the Greatshield talisman.
Only those incantations, because I ended up using mimic. Use your shield as much as you can so that your mimic can land spells (if you just dodge you'll end up kiting the boss away). Look for a window to rot the boss when it's focusing your mimic. You want to try to heal your mimic only so that they can take aggro in P2 and give you windows to rot. A good chance to heal it is just when P2 starts or after they do the grab on your mimic. If you land a rot, just spam blackflame, don't even try to charge it. Catch flame is for sneak damage on some openings that he has on P1. P2 you'll mostly rely on rot and black flame. And I'll tell you, this is just how I did it but it's not easy by any means.
Does Deathblight work on any of them?

Good question. Frenzy does work on NPCs. Since NPCs are basically just the player but controlled by AI, theoretically, Deathblight and eternal sleep SHOULD work. Though, Elden Ring may have saw that coming and decided to make them immune. If you or someone else tries it, I'd be interested to know. I just infused my fists with blood and bled them to oblivion after a while.
