As a bodyman of 31yrs this makes no sense. I’ve never worked on a car that you couldn’t unlock the doors manually from the inside. And why wouldn’t you tow the vehicle away from the property on flats then go get spare wheels and tires? Actually, they only needed one wheel. The car comes with one spare wheel and tire in the boot.
Need to change your job Bro - Cars that have a deadlock function can't be opened from the inside when the deadlock is engaged. We had no keys
