Brilliant video!! I did a work placement when i was in High School. As i didnt like School. School knew i was in to Boilers and electrical work. I always used to hang around the boiler houses at school when they where due there servicing. Mornings before school break times and home time after school i used to watch the conreactors clean and fix the Boilers. 4 big blue clyde oil fired boilers. I didnt like school most days i had a chance to do a work placement for a few months with my Local Hospital In NHS highland. I got to Admit i Loved every single minute of the day i was there. We used to Do work in Boiler house in morning. temperature and pressure readings. Flush the boilers out. Those where big steam boilers we had 2 1 always running and second was back up. I cleaned boiler number 1 inside it and out. I was showen how to make pipe gaskets. How to cut pipes. Bend pipes in wards fixing lights electrical work to plumbing. We also did fire alarm tests emergency lighting tests as well as working on power generator make sure its working so power cut generator will kick in. And the boiler house is the beating heart of the hospital if it wasn't for the boilers hospital could not function. Without it. As the hospital needs it for steam and hot water from laundry, hospital kitchen, theatres, wards, showers eta it plays a big part. Everyday was not the same we always had something diffrent to do. One of the best things i did in my life and learned things there i never did before. But when i left school i couldn't go back. I wished i didn't leave school and stayed on i maybe would had got a job in there back then. Those where there best days of my life i did 3 days a week i could pick out which ever days i wanted to do.
