      To be fair having the gts and S v6 was kinda useless once the e-hybrid model tookover. So they combined the 2.

    Another wonderful review and great video quality as always. Gotta say, in my dream of obtaining a Porsche one day the Cayenne would not be a compromise to the “drive”. Thank you for the great content and hard work.

    I just replaced my 2020 Cayenne Turbo with a 2024 Cayenne S Coupe. It's not as insane as the turbo but it's just so incredibly smooth with the V8 sound and power I'm absolutely loving it. Recommend the chalk interior.

    About 12 years ago a family friend had a Cayenne V8 and I've never been the same since. I've always thought a higher spec/power Cayenne is the one car to rule them all if I could only have one car to do everything, price not considered lol
    I don't care for the piano black-ism center console area compared to the 2nd gen/early 3rd multitude of buttons. Looked like a space ship to 14y/o me

    Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe this car does not have the sport exhaust option. Despite lacking that option, this V8 still sounds amazing.

      Base Cayenne can handle!! I drove one with the PASM air suspension in LA last year and it kept up with all the sports cars up in the canyons. Biggest pro to the S is that sweet V8.

    I am torn between this and the 2024 X5M comp.I have owned both Porsche’s and BMW’s, but I am leaning towards the X5M Comp because of value for money. Thoughts?

    • @TopherDrives
      @TopherDrives  Месяц назад +16

      Both great choices! I actually have a commute video from the same route in a '24 X5M Comp. Would be a good comparison to watch both.
      The X5M is an incredible piece of engineering that is an "M" car first, and SUV second. Meaning its brutally fast, but also brutally stiff. The Cayenne does the whole "suv" thing better imo, while still being plenty fast, and with great driving pleasure when in sport mode. It all depends on what you're using the car for, but hopefully that small insight helps!

    • @sophiafilms8072

      I hear its the best compromise between the x50 and x5m

    • @italianstallion3130
      @italianstallion3130 Месяц назад +1

      I’m in a similar boat- but man every reviewer just goes on an on about how brutally stiff the X5M is - I can’t ignore that. I love everything else about it- just wish they would loosen up on the suspension just a bit- or at least get their magnetic dampers better calibrated between modes. I wish I could have the M engine and look with the X60 ride

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews Месяц назад +1

      The X5M rides just fine! If you want a smoother ride, get the X5 M60i. It's faster than the Cayenne, and drives better. You also get actual BMW parts, and not a VW parts bin.

    • @TopherDrives
      @TopherDrives  Месяц назад

      It’s close, but dynamically much better. More steering feel than the SQ7, better inputs overall. Though I’ll say I prefer the exhaust note from the Audi. Much rowdier

    • @alex57r
      @alex57r Месяц назад

      Interesting. Audi definutely has a nicer exhaust and more power. Same hardware but seemingly different tunes / flavors. Not sure if the Audi you drove had the sport package but this Cayenne probably doesnt have the PDCC and yet it feels sportier hah? I am curious if the option package make all the differences @TopherDrives. Great video as always!

    I don't get the hype. This is a more upscale VW Touareg. The pedals looks like they are from VW, and the wipers are from the Audi Q5. Lots of VW parts bin pieces. For a six figure price, get the BMW X5 M60i. It's much more upscale, has better performance, and rides better.
