I am glad to see more than half of the audience waiting on the field to watch the interview with Caps and cheer for him, after a game held in Chengdu, China, and a Chinese team has just been swept out. This reminds me of the finals in 2019, where the audience in Paris cheered for the FPX team. After all, we play and watch the game for fun. It seems in this crumbling world, there is a bond that can connect our emotions. Peace and love.
Chinese fans are super chill and are up there with the French fans as some of the most passionate fanbases.

I know miky smurfed and Hans played perfect ADC games ... BB practically carried last game and Yike was there all the time when it matters (and murdered people on Ivern) ... but THE highlight of this series are Caps' buffers ... it's insane how picture perfect they are ... and so consistent.

There are very few people that play Tristana competitively and manage to buffer the rocket jump so perfectly. Trist doesn't feel as wonky as she used to years ago but Azir ult and Camille jump are especially difficult abilities to get correct reliably. The fact that he went for the outplay every single time and didn't get punished once... he was making fun of them.

The preparation of G2's staff is insane. They forced the poppy ban by forcing that pick vs PSG but they knew how to adress every botlane situation, they were just steps ahead.
You can see G2 is prepared. Broken blade with ksante ulted 369 three times the exact same way. Obviously he had trained for that.
Rumors are Caps was practicing the Trist buffer 169 hours a week leading to MSI.
He can now buffer every ability in the game.

No shame in losing to G2. All TES fans should be pretty happy that they reached LPL finals and MSI in the first place. It was a really hard road to even get this far. Jackeylove and Meiko yet again proves that he still can compete at the highest level.

@@TheDanorte TES 3-0 and 3-1 JDG and the first series against BLG was lost only because of cheese backdoor. It wasn't luck that got them there.
There aren't that many good teams in LPL this year though. TES is actually a real top 2 in LPL right now. JDG is still solid, but without Knight and 369 they are just visibly weaker than both BLG and TES, FPX is one player team that has to 1vs9 every single game and NIP is still a very young team. LNG underperformed the whole split (it might be that without Tarzan they aren't just that good) and the rest aren't worth mentioning.
In summer JDG might get better and maybe WBG will be a dark horse, but I don't see TES having problem getting anything less than the top 2-3.

@@MichikoHoshi I mean the probability is low for every team or atleast has been, t1 would have to beat G2 geng and blg, geng would have to beat blg and then one of the three and blg would have to beat geng and one of the three. Blg and Geng have like 35% winning probability. T1 and G2 probably both 15%, not to name tl's chances

@@Kurtofon we'll see how it turns out. So far it's been a very entertaining tournament. 2019 and 2017 had so much more stakes though and the stories were incredible. I can't really see any compelling narrative in this one so far.
@@baraenbojassen6611 If G2 does really well I think it will really elevate rest of the tournament for everyone because then we have minimum one competitor per region (because I personally would never rule out T1 completely no matter how they have looked so far.)
The annoying part in this community is that when LEC or LCS win a series against LCK or LPL ,the first thing people say is LPL choked ,they played bad etc ,the majority at least to me feels like it prefers to flame asian team when they lose instead of accepting that western teams sometimes can have a good day and beat Eastern teams .

I think the legendary items after S9 have really locked G2's biggest strength of developing strats. Everytime in the international tournaments when we were getting close to the end of the tournaments, the series would become two teams switching among a very limited group of Ban/Pick combinations, which is one of the reasons why we have seen so many BO5s where the Blue side 5-0 Red side. Now with the legendary items removed, the creativity of G2 has finally been released out of the cage and shined on international stage again after 4 years.
Its not about the legendary/mythic system. It was the introduction of dragon souls, they were just too op to give up which killed all the g2 macro splitpush trade plays from that year. Riot being against flex picks in pro was also a blow.

He was amazing with MSF and was the best RGE player 3 / 4 years ago when they were in the group of death.

Don't understand at all why all the western streamers were so hyped about 369. All Chinese commentators and streamers view him as a stable but average player and this serious just shows. He is scared to play the carry champs like vayne or jax in important moments, even though he knows how to play them! (At least jax and camille). In game3 tes had to ban jax when g2 had 2 marksman, and let's be honest nobody expected him to play the camille, which put tes in a terrible spot (A counter last pick udyr is just stupid). This is why bin is so respected, he didn't perform well with vayne aginst psg, but he was still confident to pick her against t1 and popped off, same with the lpl winner's bracket, he had the balls to pick tf which he never played before agisnt tes in the 5th game.

You cant ban out g2. You can only ban out a specific strat that G2 has thats particularly strong against what you are aiming for. But they have a dozen more and it really showed this series.

Dom can be horribly wrong in his prediction of 3-1, but you can tell who he hopes wins, the way he celebrates G2's plays or is scared of TES fighting back.
People have very short memories, G2's strengths in 2023 was their bot lane winning every lane even against asian bot lanes, and somehow people thought jkl meiko would shit on hans miky, even in the T1 series G2 bot was fine in lane. I did not expect hans miky to stomp so hard, but the takes saying g2s bot was gonna get dumpstered in lane when its hans's biggest strength is a bit crazy

Well Hans is definitely the best Western ADC since Rekkles downfall.
Bad during his TL time (he loves the game too much and going to NA for money was not his main choice).
Yet he is still too much caught / does not use his flash when he should.
But on overall he is far above all LCS / LEC ad (even if this year in LEC he was below what he can show)
Excellent draft and execution from G2, and exactly the opposite from TES.
If I ever see Creme on Corki again in my lifetime, it is too soon.

Jackeylove and Meiko looking bad on the day or being outclassed will always doom TES in a series. Also, classic Tian moments like the failure to Xin R at dragon in game one. WP G2. Hans is so fucking good when he's locked in; if he could do this every time, with Caps looking more reliably consistent like he has and Mikyx having these domineering performances, G2 would be a serious international threat at every tournament. Excited for the next series!
I think community are misunderstanding full AD teams, stuff that builds lethality is bad in to tanks, since they simply will not have the dps to kill a tank after tank is 2 items, thus making them not really playable, AD's that go cracken, bork, crit will always melt tanks especially if they are ahead, and i dont really understand the confusion behind it.
Its not only about the tankiness of tanks but also the fact that all of the enemy champs do not have to build mr effectively giving more money to top, support and jungle as well as making armor on adc/mid more viable (for example going tabis on draven and guardian angel, going zhonyas on mid ). And yes in teamcomp with 2 adc this is usually not a problem as the additional demage more than makes up for the difference in gold in our current meta.
@@dexterkosinski1323 That's the thing though, armor in nowadays league is very ineffective in dealing with ADC items, that's why bruisers that build flat HP are so prevalent, yes 1 or 2 armor items will make a big difference in the mid game, but anything over that will usually have diminishing returns, also by the time junglers and supports are done with core items and start building defence (of any kind) ad's will usually either have or are well on the way to LDR, making armor a bad investment compared to flat hp.

Caps has been popping off the whole year on Tristana, even in this tournament. After he won in the first two games, it is surprising Top Esports let Caps play it again.
I'm not saying Caps is an actual one trick, just like Dom said Mikyx isn't an actual one trick either. My point was that it was weird TES never banned Tristana or picked it away (especially since Creme likes to play it too).
