That game is amazing! Last year the company I work for was contracted to help build the real thing for retro arcade and I used to stop by the pre production area to check out their progress and play some games. I'm not really good but damn is it fun
it is very fun and challenging, it will certainly get your blood pumping quick as you try and keep everything under control during your ascent up the playfield.
I didn't know ice cold beer machines cost that much, they must be pretty hard to maintain with the belts getting old and breaking over time. Looks cool man good job
@@Riz2336 yeah they are quite pricey, there is a company that has recently started remaking the machines and the starting price on a new one is $5999 😳
Just discovered your channel! This build is incredible - great job! Besides the links you provided, do you ever create a complete list of everything you would need for the build and "how to" on your cabinets? Even a look inside this cabinet to see what's in there? I'm pretty much a novice, but the idea of me giving this a try to build my own is really captivating for myself. I'd love to theme it with Zeke's Peak (with my German heritage) and already see that Szabo's Arcades has both the side art and CPO decals available! Thanks for posting and looking forward to watching your other videos!
Just searched online for the correct cabinet size/dimensions for what you built and can't seem to find what you did (maybe you just created it yourself without blueprint?)
Have buddies who have the real deal. I wouldn't pay that either if it isn't pinball or a hard to get arcade game possibly in good shape (Spy Hunter, Star Wars, etc). Great vid as always man! Time to get a Metallica Remastered. :)
There is really no reason those machines should cost as much as pinball machines. No where near the complexity in components and build in an Ice Cold Beer cabinet vs a solid state pinball.
Nice project, I had no idea those old mechanical games were available digitally 👍👍. The home arcade must be looking pretty packed by now, be nice to see a walkthrough 👍. Is there anything you're still looking to add?
I've got a couple projects that need to be finished of ypu want to swing by whole you are in town for Expo! Ypu are doing some amazing stuff Doug! any chance you could provide a link to where the cabinet plans came from for that size screen? this would make an excellent addition to the gameroom!! thanks.

@@cooltoy i wasnt looking for any plans, more of a what links did you use from the interwebs? i have built several MAME cades and such, would just be cool to have a dedicated to ICB!! i reached out to the comment below who mentions her husbands cabinets.... can you share that link?
CoolToy, I was actually thinking about adding Zeke's Peak to a Steam Deck and plugging it into my Rec Room Masters, but the idea of playing this game with 8 Way joysticks didn't sound like it would be accurate enough to an original machine. Also, Zeke's Peak has been in Early Access for I think 5 years and I don't know if it will ever be finished. That's the main reason I haven't picked it up yet. I also thought this might be a perfect Arcade1Up Partycade mod, something easy to hang on a wall, but modding isn't really my forte' and I hoped beyond hope that a company would make a consumer friendly virtual version of the game using Zeke's Peak, but alas, it never happened. I just heard of a company re-releasing a real version of Ice Cold Beer and it was WAY out of my price range. Maybe I'll get Zeke's Peak and mess around with it on an Xbox360 controller, it looks fun. Your machine looks awesome btw :) vgv
A partycade would be a nice form factor to set this kind of game up on. I'm pretty sure it's never going to get out of Early Access on Steam. I think the last update they did was years ago, but as it stands I think the game in it's current form is more than worth the asking price they have it listed for. Lost of different gameplay options in it.
Zeke's Peak has an internal button configuration menu that allows you to assign inputs/keyboard buttons to various commands in game, so I just used that.
Dude awesome. So I'm assuming u can map the game to x inputs or real joys on a gaming emulator? I want to download this for my extreme home arcade? Great video
How did you get Zeke's Peak to play vertically? I've been trying. Their cabinet mode isn't what I thought it was. Any insight would be great. Great project and great video!
I bought Zeke's Peak on Steam and went to play it, but all the screens are locked. Is this one of those games where you have to play them in order and earn coins or something to unlock them? I just want to play Ice Cold Beer and Zeke's Peak.
Hello, I loved your game Super Mario, I loved making a machine and I loved your game, is the game available? By giving some contribution, is it possible to have the game? Thank you and congratulations for your fantastic videos.

This is amazing. Pinball Expo usually has a few of the actual machines to play, but they are expensive!
They are very expensive! I'll be at Pinball Expo all week so hopefully I can find an actual physical ice cold beer machine and spend some time on it.
