It was Dev's turn to cut Karan short whenever he pathologically wanted to intervene. And the wearing of the cap by the star..OMG what a style statement!!
He was actually an over coscious person, meaning actually a shy person, who hid it behind his dramatic personality (as per Kamini Kaushal). He never went to Suraiya later after the so called break-up, even in his later life. His over involvement with production of films, even in later life, was his way of covering up his 'shyness' .
