Wow...I've just found your channel and after watching I'm hooked so have subscribed. I've just found a new hobby....i live in a Scottish Valley surrounded by ancient woodlands and miles and miles of forestation...been here for 3 years and have just been reminded of the Gold that lays hidden within the mountain waterways that stream down into the River....i won't name it but I'm somewhere in Perthshire, Scotland 🏴
My late friend used to go panning in the hills above Tyndrum there he collected enough gold to make his wife's wedding ring this was in the 90s , its still a popular panning site now. There is no secret to the areas Gold panning.
Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts. It's a great hobby and if live in Scotland, there are many locations to sift the river gravels for gold. Best of luck if you venture out in search of the good stuff and let you know how you get on 👍
Grand! Thanks for posting Daza. Those underwater shots - crikey that takes me back. I think I've got to get the dry suit on next year, whether there's gold there or not - it's just beautiful under there.
I was well chuffed with the clear images from the GoPro. They are a great piece of kit to use for shallow under water shots. Definitely get your suit on too and see what's lurking beneath the surface 👍
its what i live for, just being in the water out the outdoors is as good as finding the gold and the days i find a bigger bit gives me the biggest smile.
Hi Mr Daz another nice video. I only get one day a year to do that so never able to find the good spots. But at least I can get to see you find them. Keep up good work 😊
I'd love to try this have you got a list of equipment and how do you do the under water shots? I have a camera with a casing so that's what I'd use when magnet fishing.
Hi Magnet Man, I used a Gopro Hero 8 on this session to get the under water shots. But if you want to know where to get the kit from. Try this link. www.goldpanningsupplies.co.uk/
Came across video by chance and enjoyed, can I ask are possible gold streams secret or do they have a typical or common attributes, because I live in Wales, and would like to try this experience.
I have searched for gold in Wales and this place is excellent but the agencies have seriously clamped down on the well known locations where blind eyes were once turned. Lead hills and the Mennock estate offer permits as do the estates up near Helmsdale and Tyndrum. I hope this helps Dan...
Only gold found below 3 meters belongs to the state above is yours as long as you have licence and permissions from land owners this is the rule detecting as I understand it

@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Next year I might give it a go. I have seen some great looking spots on my travels as a fly fisherman. A black sand bay springs to mind. Will let you know.
Hi Chris, it's just a case of doing a lot of research and then going out into the field and trying to find where you think the gold could be hiding. I knew nothing when I first started this hobby and this fuelled my inquisitive nature to search the places where it could be. ruclips.net/video/1QNwTf8a2bE/видео.htmlsi=HoJsArWX2TaQIwpm
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures thanks. I live in dunoon, and my mate has been saying for a good few years now that we live on the gold line that goes up to Tyndrum gold mine. It's definitely peeked my interest in prospecting.
Daz I would say your sluice ain't level or running quite right as there no V of water running down the middle of your sluice as that's the main thing set up properly so your not blowing gold straight out your sluice.just saying ok.👍🤠
Hi Paul, the sluice was doing it's thing that's for sure. It's great to see the V when you have good even water moving down the rivet as you referred to but there was sufficient flow to allow the heavy pieces to be trapped in the sluice run. It's the fine line between moving the dirt with a sluice or panning each scoop of gravels.👍
Just started watching u mate love your channel I’ve just got my own gold pan and I made a homemade sluice but i neva seem to find anything .. am shua I’ve had bit flour gold but i wasn’t shua if it was.. how can I tell if it’s flour gold mate ??
Is it possible u could send me little bit flour gold in some pay dirt so I know what am looking for ?? Il pay postage and what ever else buddy ?? Are u on Facebook or instagram and Al show u my set up and u can maybe tell me where I’m going wrong
Hi Mick, Gold is heavy. It is also soft and not brittle. Pyrite, for example can look like gold but it is brittle and will crush. Gold will flatten or can be dented easily. It is malleable. Gold also has the same sheen or amazing lustre to it when under a shadow or not in direct sunlight. 1 cubic metre of gold (AU) weighs about 19.3 tonnes versus 1 cubic metre of water (H20) which weighs about 1 tonne. Lead (PB) is about 11.4 Gold can also float even though it is heavy. Small pieces of flour gold will not break the water's surface tension and will rest on top of it in your pan which you could mistake for something else. Once you know what gold looks like. You will always know - if you know what I mean. Thanks for asking and watching my videos. Hope this helps a bit. Cheers - MrDazP1...
Hello Mick, I don't do Facebook or Insta buddy. Have you thought about buying some Paydirt off ebay and panning it at home. You will be guaranteed gold amongst other typical heavy river gravels which might get you started in a better direction.
@ cheers mate I’ve been watching gold rush and gold divers for years but it’s nothing like what we do over here.. when am panning the concentrate and tapping the pan I’m always getting black sand with shiny bits in it don’t look gold colour tho ?? I asked my brother but he just starting like me he said it might be specks off glass ?? What u reckon mate ??
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures it’s the shipping what does you online tho mate .. I don’t want little pickers coz am shua id know straight away if it was gold it’s the flour gold what am getting confused with
That's a good question. I'm not sure of the geology down there for gold occurrence. I thought it was more a place for fossils etc. I will see what I can find out. There could be micro specs of gold though on the beaches where the black sands come to rest.
@@georgebain4334 I'm not really after solid help just a bit of advice from a geological point of view to be honest. Not many mountains down here but there's a lot of sand, chalk, and rocky areas like Tonbridge wells. Gold also gets stuck in clay I believe so would be interesting to see what dungeness/camber/rye sort of areas would be like for it
You need permission from the crown estate Scotland, if you want to remove or sell gold or silver from land or rivers in Scotland. Crown estate Scotland`s position on gold panning is available online. You cannot just go where you want and do as you please.
Thank you for sharing this information Mark. Are there any locations that you have actually panned for gold and would be so kind as to disseminate more information as to where we, and others could engage in such leisurely pursuits
Uk gold hunting has to be handed in, if you sell or pawn the gold you'll be breaking the law apparently. It sounds right for the UK in my opinion nice video looks blinking cold.
Please don't judge me for liking a Scott, although I am a descendant of Richard the first and Second but mostly Swedish from my dads side, truthfully I don't care where anyone is from, it just comes down to being a good human being,
Hi Michael, I am a big believer of saying I feel proud to be a British man as well as being an Englishman in my case and likewise for all of our brothers from the home nations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (and Ireland) I share your values too. There are some good people out there and others who we may not see eye to eye with. I will quote Southpaw Davey here "It's nice to be nice " 👌😊 We are also Europeans, and with the current climate looking a bit all over the place, we need to stand united as Europeans and what the future might hold for our following generations to come
I crushed a dirty chunk of well veined and cracked quartz from my drive the other day and found flakes of Pyrite, Galena and what I am sure is the tiniest flakes of gold ever. [ blow away in a fart ;-) ]
@MrDazP1 Hi and everyone else, apart from word of mouth or hearsay etc, does anyone know any Good spots to prospect Gold in South Wales or the West Country please. Great video thankyou.
@MrDazp1 the book you recommend sounds useful, I will have a look in my local Waterstones book store to see if I can find a copy, I wish you and everyone else lots of luck, I hope you all find a nugget that can set your up for life.
Definitely not happening in the south east England “ English riviera”😂😂😂, one could not see anything for a start as per the extreme pollution and sewages thrown into the rivers and sea, Disguting .Uk people should demand their extreme rich royaulty to share their money cleaning up along with the poor water compagnies that we’re left alone polluting for decades!! I live in a great place for river gold apparently. Central Scotland.
There are some very very good spots in Scotland Nick. I used to love going to Wales as well for the same reasons. There's more of it about than people realise 👍
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Next year I might give it a go. I have seen some great looking spots on my travels as a fly fisherman. A black sand bay springs to mind. Will let you know.
Heavy black sands - sounds like some potential there Nick 👍
Nice daz.
Thanks John 👍
How do you know where to look? I live in Scotland
@chriswarr3676 there's a fault system up there and a lot of gold Chris
Daz I would say your sluice ain't level or running quite right as there no V of water running down the middle of your sluice as that's the main thing set up properly so your not blowing gold straight out your sluice.just saying ok.👍🤠
Hi Paul, the sluice was doing it's thing that's for sure. It's great to see the V when you have good even water moving down the rivet as you referred to but there was sufficient flow to allow the heavy pieces to be trapped in the sluice run.
It's the fine line between moving the dirt with a sluice or panning each scoop of gravels.👍
Can u keep it or does it have to be declared to the crown. ?
On some estates you can keep it but it's probably best to throw it back for sustainable panning reasons 😉
Lead (PB) is about 11.4
Gold can also float even though it is heavy.
I don’t want little pickers coz am shua id know straight away if it was gold it’s the flour gold what am getting confused with
Will say 💯 I enjoyed your video
Thank you Danny 👍
Me and my friend live in the Devon area and really wanting to find some rare earth materials etc.
Check out the river Dart Danny it carries gold
Any places you would prospect down southeast? Wouldn't mind finding me some gold 😂
That's a good question. I'm not sure of the geology down there for gold occurrence. I thought it was more a place for fossils etc. I will see what I can find out.
There could be micro specs of gold though on the beaches where the black sands come to rest.
You won't get any help..
No one gives out location
@@georgebain4334 I'm not really after solid help just a bit of advice from a geological point of view to be honest. Not many mountains down here but there's a lot of sand, chalk, and rocky areas like Tonbridge wells.
Gold also gets stuck in clay I believe so would be interesting to see what dungeness/camber/rye sort of areas would be like for it
It is always worth having a prospect with a wee pan and a shovel buddy
The thing is if you find gold in the UK you can't spend it without permission because it belongs to the state.
Just another reason this country is literally down the pan
Hi Colin, I don't pan for gold to make money. It's just a fascinating hobby and subject to film.
The day job funds my leisurely pursuit. 🙂
Let's make Britain great again, GB the Gravel Bar ....
Isn't there no laws on pinching gold from other people's land trees pass and the lot😮😮😮
Yes there isn't. But don't not quote me on this Tracey.
I had permission to engage in this leisurely pursuit
It was a bit fresh to start the day off but wasn't too bad weatherwise 👍
Please don't judge me for liking a Scott, although I am a descendant of
Richard the first and Second but mostly Swedish from my dads side,
truthfully I don't care where anyone is from, it just comes down to being a good human being,
Hi Michael, I am a big believer of saying I feel proud to be a British man as well as being an Englishman in my case and likewise for all of our brothers from the home nations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (and Ireland)
I share your values too. There are some good people out there and others who we may not see eye to eye with. I will quote Southpaw Davey here "It's nice to be nice " 👌😊
We are also Europeans, and with the current climate looking a bit all over the place, we need to stand united as Europeans and what the future might hold for our following generations to come
Just found you enjoyed subbed
Thanks John, I'm into all kinds of stuff 👍
Seek and thou shalt find. Good luck.
Nice one Philip, it is something like for sure 👍
I crushed a dirty chunk of well veined and cracked quartz from my drive the other day and found flakes of Pyrite, Galena and what I am sure is the tiniest flakes of gold ever. [ blow away in a fart ;-) ]
There could well be gold. Do you watch Mount Baker Mining on RUclips.
He's excellent.

Oh OK 👍
Ok Colin 👍
Sure i saw a coin at 6.05
I will take a look 🙂
Is this legal?
This is Legal
@MrDazP1adv3ntures I live in Scotland and never knew this was allowed. I've done some googling since posting the comment. I'm hoping to give it a go.
Great stuff, let me know how you get on Monty 👍
@MrDazP1 Hi and everyone else, apart from word of mouth or hearsay etc, does anyone know any Good spots to prospect Gold in South Wales or the West Country please. Great video thankyou.
Thanks for commenting 👍
There is a great book called Gold Occurrences in the UK by Lee Palmer which might offer an sight
@MrDazp1 the book you recommend sounds useful, I will have a look in my local Waterstones book store to see if I can find a copy, I wish you and everyone else lots of luck, I hope you all find a nugget that can set your up for life.
Thanks for the support Sloopycat and best of luck 👍
Just go to Glasgow on a Friday night.. plenty nuggets to be found
😅
And Manchester
Just don't be cheeky or you might get panned yersel. 😅
Great video
Thanks Jamie 👍
I think we all need to do this once in a while , get that basterd Starmer and his ludicrous policy's off our minds. Well done .
Here here James, I am struggling to connect with anything he says or does. I can't say it any more politely than that on here
Be good if you could grow gold in your garden
I'm with you all day long on that one buddy 👍
Got about fifteen quids worth there!
I never thought of how much I found Dean. But you could be close
Can I come ?
I'd be giving away all of my secret locations then 🙂
Starmer will tax it
Starmer, is that the man who can legally say or promise one thing and do the opposite or am I barking up the wrong tree 🤔
With massive profits to shares holders
Thanks for posting 👍
Unless you own the land and the mineral rights don't tell anyone as it belongs to the crown
On some estates you can pan for the gold with permission as it belongs to them not the crown.
@MrDazP1adv3ntures yes you can but any gold found is classed as treasure and is A gray area 👍
I hear what you are saying buddy
£2 there.
Bus fare home 👍
A lot of work for a fiver 🤣
The crazy thing here is this. I work full time for a living and spent a few days off work on annual leave.
This video has already created over £140 in advertising. And guess what........I don't claim a penny of it.
I just love the great outdoors my friend
This is damaging to the river life dude
Don't copy this
Fools gold
These kind of comments never cease to amaze me. It's obviously Fools gold to some
All gold found in uk belongs to the crown .
Thanks for commenting
😂
Crown Estate and its Welsh gold
Great stuff👍👍
Thanks, much appreciated 👍
The real treasure is the video 🫶🤓👍
Hey, thanks for the positive comment. Much appreciated 👍
My doctor told me I've got gold fever
OMG Patrick, there's no know cure. Take care mate.

I need to get ready for the 2025 season Alfie
