    I love those colors on her. I’d really appreciate a video on how to pick the nail shape that most flatters your finger shape, and how to pick the polish colors that most compliment your skin tone.

    • @Jade-fw6ni
      @Jade-fw6ni 3 года назад +24

      I’m not a professional, but some tips I’ve picked up on for the most flattering nail shape is to match the shape of either the cuticle or the fingertip. So when filing, try to either mirror the natural shape of the cuticle or the tips of the finger, which typically means slightly more squared off nails on wider fingers. I personally have long, thinner fingers, and medium to long nails in an oval or almond shape seem the most flattering (almond tends to elongate the nail/finger, if that’s preferable to you).
      As for colours that compliment your skin tone, you could either match your undertone (warm = go for colours with a yellow base, cool = go for colours with a cool, pink or blue base) or choose a colour that is the opposite of your undertone to bring those colours out in your skin. For nudes, try to pick a colour that is an appropriate depth compared to your skin tone (going deeper the deeper your complexion) and is either neutral or matches your undertone. I tend to like a nude that looks like it could be my natural nail, but better. These are just tips I’ve learnt but it all depends on what looks best to you. Hope this helps!

      @NEKO-mw9id 2 года назад +2

      What I’ve noticed is that if you have a wider nail bet, an almond/stiletto tip works best since it’s giving the illusion of lengthens narrows down the nail and fingers which just give the illusion of finer/smaller fingers and less wide nails. And for people with smaller nail beds and finer fingers a square, round (or even almond tho it depends) shape works wonders. Idk of this helps this is just what I’ve noticed. Have a nice one.

    I SO agree on the overfilling of the sidewalls. Every single tech I’ve seen over the years grossly over files the sidewalls, ruining the natural shape of my nails. I tell them until I’m blue in the face to not file the sidewalls. I’ve even used a translator app to let them know. I finally gave up and began doing my nails at home. It will take a while to become proficient but it beats $25-30 every 2 weeks for a shoddy job. I know l will get great in time! Peace, AM

In Russia nail technicians are taught not to remove all of the material unless there is lifting etc. I do know that in other parts of the world they find it most appropriate to remove all of the material & create a complete new set! I personally think it's better (of course if there's no lifting/damage etc) to go over the material as to not cause so much stress to the natural nail's nail plate. Thanks for watching 💕

      Hello! I use a pair of scissors called Zinger. I bought them off of a Russian website, but I do believe you could find them on Aliexpress. Thanks for watching 😊

    hi tatyana! i have a question: do you speak russian and english? or do you have your videos translated? i don’t mean any disrespect, i’m only curious because the sound of your voice is so different on your russian channel!!
    i love watching your videos tho, beautiful work from a fellow nail tech 🥰

    I hate when the so called nail technicians make such a bad job. It's not fair, you still have to pay for it even though it looks like a 5 year old did it....not ok....the same goes with hairdressers...
