I love those colors on her. I’d really appreciate a video on how to pick the nail shape that most flatters your finger shape, and how to pick the polish colors that most compliment your skin tone.
I’m not a professional, but some tips I’ve picked up on for the most flattering nail shape is to match the shape of either the cuticle or the fingertip. So when filing, try to either mirror the natural shape of the cuticle or the tips of the finger, which typically means slightly more squared off nails on wider fingers. I personally have long, thinner fingers, and medium to long nails in an oval or almond shape seem the most flattering (almond tends to elongate the nail/finger, if that’s preferable to you). As for colours that compliment your skin tone, you could either match your undertone (warm = go for colours with a yellow base, cool = go for colours with a cool, pink or blue base) or choose a colour that is the opposite of your undertone to bring those colours out in your skin. For nudes, try to pick a colour that is an appropriate depth compared to your skin tone (going deeper the deeper your complexion) and is either neutral or matches your undertone. I tend to like a nude that looks like it could be my natural nail, but better. These are just tips I’ve learnt but it all depends on what looks best to you. Hope this helps!
What I’ve noticed is that if you have a wider nail bet, an almond/stiletto tip works best since it’s giving the illusion of lengthens narrows down the nail and fingers which just give the illusion of finer/smaller fingers and less wide nails. And for people with smaller nail beds and finer fingers a square, round (or even almond tho it depends) shape works wonders. Idk of this helps this is just what I’ve noticed. Have a nice one.
I appreciate her professionalism, I get frustrated and worried at these mistakes(as a casual viewer). And she kindly points out how to fix them. It’s refreshing and much more productive to handle it this way
@@krystalfukinmarie757 See, but I think maybe there /should/ be shaming involved when someone has the gall to charge actual money for a set like this? Totally for learning and growing and honing your craft as a beginner, but not when you're charging for it, if that makes sense?

how do I find a nail tech like you, with your skills and knowledge? I have mis-shaped nails and would like it corrected. It seems like most nail salons in my area arent this skilled and they rush, hurt, and damage my nails.
Is the key to a perfect almond nail, on a flatter nail, to create a super high and narrow apex starting closer to the cuticle , as opposed to where a normal apex would begin closer to the stress point? I know there’s an important difference compared to all the other shaped nails. 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️😁
Beautiful result! i have a question though, why do you go through a nail correction instead of just removing the old set and doing a new one? I mean is it purely client’s request or are there reasons from the nail technician were it’s better to just do a nail correction
