you have to be very careful with a burnout. My recent burnout was in February and I'm still paying for it. some days it's hard to get out of bed. You might need to re-learn to give yourself time to have time for yourself. hugs. I'm sorry about Max, it's hard. When my parrot passed on, I left his cage up for 6 months, empty, but I couldn't take it down. Take care of yourself .

Take a month away. Markiplier did it, and he has a channel almost 10x bigger than you, and guess what? His fanbase supported him through it. So you can definitely do it, and we will definitely support you through whatever you want. Sometimes life pushes you and you need to stay down a little. And then come back with more energy, and push life back to where it was. You don't owe us anything. We owe you everything. Here's an idea, take some walks with Mrs Jazza and MJ, and with your beautiful pugs, and if you do decide to take a month's break, take a vacation. Go somewhere fun: Thailand, London, France, Turkey or somewhere of your choice, those are from my eyes fun places.
~Love, from your friend in Israel.

Jazza just take a break. We understand. I feel like you need to make a new schedule where you are not doing so much every week. You should have days off each week. We know you truly love what you do but if it messes with your state of mind what is the point. You won't last. We want what is the best for you. You could talk to a therapist maybe once in a while to get your thoughts out there so you don't bottle them up.

Your audience will also reap the benefits. But above all, you owe being well to yourself, your wife and your boy. We'll be here. No worries.

You have been doing a lot: streaming, three videos a week, and on and on. RUclipsrs are self employed and can push themselves to hard and try to put so much on their plates. Please take a break if you need it! We will always support you and we want you to be 100% happy 😊. Taking a break is necessary and shouldn't be frowned upon. We want you to put up content you love even if it's only one video a week or even one video every two weeks! We are 100% behind you! We love you!

Dearest Jazza. Drop the facade and take a break. Go take care of yourself and rebuild your creative life. You need to be with yourself and your family and friends. I saw it already before you got sick, believing it was a flu. I saw it in your reaction the day you lost your cat.
It's so human. You are a human, and that's absolutely fine. Men cry. Men cry so hard when it hurts inside. And that's perfectly fine.
Leave the electronic word for a while. Only come back when you feel like being creative. We'll be here and will support both your off days and your on days.
Mourn your beloved cat, be with those who love you so truly you can't explain it and get better. Gives me time to practice my skills and you to practice yours. Deal?

Losing a pet is always hard, Jazza, especially when you have to make the call yourself. It's something I've experienced with one of my dogs, and it's a day that I dread with every fibre of my being when I think about _my_ cat whom I have had for 20 long years of my life.
You never leave that fight unscathed, Jazza, and that's because you love them. The pain you endure is proof of that.

Echoing everyone here: Take all the time you need Jazza. Mental health days are no different than having to call in sick with a stomach bug or the flu- sometimes you just need to take some time and look after yourself until you feel better. And there is absolutely no shame in grieving the loss of a pet, losing a member of your family hurts like hell regardless of whether they have two legs or four.

I stopped doing art altogether for months after my dad died. I couldn't bring myself to actually sit down and even start anything because he used to buy me sketch pads and other supplies. I also had a little dog from my late teen years. My Max would sit at my feet and keep me company even when I had my own struggles. Dad was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago and passed away 4 months later. The changes scarred me deeply, knowing I couldn't do anything. Six months ago when Max got to that point I at least had options. I could do more to ease his suffering, and knew he deserved that after he had always been there for me. It was the hardest thing taking him to vet, and and then bringing him home. But I had done what I could, and he seemed to know. I still felt guilty for a long time. Now there's a picture of him with his collar in my living room. After Max died I realized how little I had been living and how far I had fallen away from the things I care about. Sometimes you need that reprieve to get yourself together, and being able to tell your viewers about that takes a lot of strength. Take the time you need and we'll all be here when you get back.

As an open (officially diagnosed) sufferer of major depression and anxiety I have a few words to share.
1, your followers still love you. When you left the stream my first thought was concern for you and I know I was not alone.
2, the overwhelming feelings suck. Often the love from others can't make it go away. Don't expect/ push yourself to feel better just because everyone wants you better.
3, stick to the basics, bub. Sleeping, eating, spending time with your family. We'll be here when you are ready for us. DO NOT OVER WORK! I ended up with a heart attack at 31 by doing that.
    *hugs*
Most of all, let the sadness happen. Your family loves you, and your community does too.

We are all human man... We all have fragilities and necessities.
I know you enjoy this YT life a lot and put yourself in a position of fear of losing after so much work and fear to let people down, but we all understand it and care for you.
Being truth and human is the thing that we all like about you.
I've lost my dog Thor ears ago, a huge Chow Chow that faded in my arms. I hadn't allowed myself to cry to be strong to my wife and paid the highest prize be cause of that.
It´s part of being human to cry and feel our loss. Take your time ... Put yourself in a safe place ... enjoy your family and re charge.
I'm a filmmaker and learned that my family is more important than my work. No money gonna buy my daughter growing in front of my eyes, taking every single moment as it supposed to be.
Count on us.... whatever you need to do, we are with you !
    Enjoy the journey ~_^

Hello Jazza my name is Johnathon and I just want to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry that we made you feel that you had to push yourself so far. I know what it's like to have a hundred friends and still feel alone it's a day to day struggle for me. I'm constantly worrying about everyone and never myself, and all I'm doing is pushing my self to the point of explosion. And all I want to do is crumple in a ball and end it all. But it's when you stand from that corner and weigh the good to the bad so that you remember that there's always a tomorrow. A mysterious mistress tomorrow, it may be sad but it may be good it's looking forward to the good that matters. So again I deeply mean that I'm so so sorry you mean so much to me. You take your damn time. Look forward to the tomorrow's.

Jazza, we don't expect you to be perfect. It was very brave of you to make this video, especially due to how you've said you hide certain parts of yourself. It can definitely be very hard to express how you feel at times, particularly to an audience or a fanbase like you've just done. The comment section on this video is lovely; I haven't seen a single comment that isn't supportive of you, telling you to take a break if you need, and that's wonderful. I know that many people feel shame when they talk about how they feel, but trust me when I say that we, your viewers, are proud of you.

Jazza...man....let yourself LISTEN to yourself. It's okay to use pretending not to feel like crap as a part of your #buildaladder but....part of building a ladder to get yourself out of a pit is knowing when that ladder isn't stable and you need to take some time to heal.
I know this was hard for you to make. I hope it makes not needing to make something like this again possible because you have acknowledged that you are human, and that you need to be cared for.
Use this as a way to breathe. I hope you find the space you need. ❤️❤️

My girlfriend had her dog put down. I had to be there for her. I watched the dog fall asleep and saw his body go limp. It was heartbreaking. To watch somebody choose to end the life of a companion is hard. But it's nothing like the burden of the actual person who actually wrestles with the thought. And it's just a pet. But we're just humans. Sentimentality, emotionality, empathy, and vulnerability aren't as easily grappled with as we like to think. I saw my girlfriend work even more and consume herself with business to feel better. That was harder for me to watch. So Jazza, please take your time. Your audience would rather see you healthy and upbeat even if we have to wait. But never mind us. It's about you, your mind, and especially your presence around your family. Much respect.

We live on a farm and have barn cats. We lose cats constantly because of predators but now that I have my German Shepherds, the predators don't seem to come around as much.
A rescue dog attacked and maimed one of our ferals and we had to put him down. One of our pet dogs joined in the attack and she had never harmed a cat in her life, but now she has grabbed a cat and proceeded to shake it but we stopped her before any damage was done. Now she has to be in a pen and I hate it but I wont get rid of her. I'm just gonna make her pen bigger so she has plenty of room so she isnt miserable. We can let her out when we are outside with her.

Jazza PLEASE take a break. I don't want you to force yourself to make videos for our satisfaction. You do art and make RUclips videos because it makes YOU happy. And if it's not doing that for you anymore then step back. We'll understand, we care about you, we love what you do. And I rather see you happy then force yourself to just be happy. Because I know from personal experience that just being "happy" is unhealthy for anyone. We support you and I hope you know how greatful we are to have you just be you. Jazza, I follow both you and Baylee and she has also recently addressed taking breaks and not worrying about work all of the time (an unfortunate effect of self employed artists). I am happy to hear that you recognize that you need self care. I am sorry for your loss. Take the time you need to heal. My cat Pooman crossed the rainbow bridge in 2012 and I have yet to adopt another. He never woke up from anesthesia after a procedure. So much guilt I had in hindsight for not recognizing that his health was declining sooner. His last moments spent in a cage alone, without me there - never expecting he wouldn't wake up. It's been 5 years and I'm tearing up just writing this. He was cremated with his "woobie" (favorite cat toy). Spend time with your family and never apologize for feeling anything. Hugs. It's OK to not be OK sometimes.

I wish I could hug you right now. You've got my crying remembering my cat Haze and how he got me through so many hard times and like Max I had to have him put down.
I totally understand where you are mentally, I'm an artist with mental health issues and occasionally I have a burn out and my orders get the better of me. I push myself too hard and I suffer for it. Luckily I have 2 cats now, Jamothi and Malingo, who catch me when I fall. I'd be lost without them.
I love your art and you, your spirit and your energy. Don't push yourself too hard and get lost, I'm sure Mrs Jazza and MJ will help keep you grounded but I know what the inner demons are like. Keep Max alive in your thoughts and your art, but most of all take the time you need to get back to where you feel you WANT to create. We'll all be here waiting for you. X

    Jazza, looking at everyone in the comment section, everything I want to say has been said, but I'm adding something too;
Look, it's ok to take a break, or need a few days off. It's ok to cry, It's ok to be sad, and it's ok to be human. You're Not a machine, you aren't magic. You're human, you're a father, a husband, and a friend. Burnout can be dangerous, but believe me when I say you can get through this. Just take a few days, hang out with mini Jazza, relax with Mrs. Jazza, get some sleep, and relax and recover. And only when you feel like it, come back, make a video, by Draw with Jazza. Until then, just take some time off. No matter how long you are away, we'll be right back here, waiting to support you, ready to watch the next video. Don't feel pressured to make any videos, just stop and take a day, a week, a month, or even a year.

Hey Jazza, i dont usually make comments on youtube, but maaate! Its all good brudda. We all have to experience these emotions at one time or another. Its part of life. I used to to think that my search for stress free work was a sign of being a slacker. Its more about creating time and space. Time to think, time to play, observe, create. We only got one life. Enjoy all those emotions.

Hey Jazza, I'm late to this, and find everyone's said what I already would say. They've mentioned how we've each lost loved ones, bottled up emotions, pretended to be stronger than we are. That we want you to grieve as needed, and take better care of yourself.
So, I will just say, thank you Jazza, for opening up to us. I've found it's harder to admit to being vulnerable than seek comfort. In some ways, it takes a stronger person to admit they need help, than just pretend to be ok.
So again, thank you for continuing to be a wonderful example, and showing us it's ok to be open about how we feel.

We always need to "disconnect" from the world to "reconnect" with ourselves, I think. I watch your drawings videos from time to time and I'm watching this now, the first "vlog" from you. I can feel your pain. About your cat, about the overwork and everything. I almost wanna cry now. In the past, I stayed crying in bed for a week when my cat was killed by a car.
Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy your one week away. Don't bring anything related to work. Breath and enjoy your time doing "nothing" :-)

The 3:20 mark really resonated with me. For a few years, I worked in a high-end salon where I was “forced” to be cheerful and engaging all the time... until it almost became second nature. I can now ‘go through the motions’ and convince everyone I’m doing well, even on days I’m severely depressed or in physical pain. It’s a blessing and a curse for me. It’s kinda like a coping mechanism but hides that you need help. I sometimes start to manifest physical symptoms such as chest pain or insomnia before I’ll even admit to MYSELF that I’m experiencing anxiety/depression. Thank you so much for sharing your story!

Jazza... please not just get help for your mental health - but please get more help in the office. I hope you do not feel like you have to work yourself to death because of the studio - YOU DO NOT. Please...slow down. Please - get an assistant (someone that goes home at the end of the day). Let someone help you with the shop, with social media, and with editing, with setting up the studio. It doesn't have to be 40 hours a week - but maybe 10-15 hours a week to give you some help in the studio. Take care of yourself...I know this is your job...but we will survive if you have to take unexpected OR scheduled time off. Don't let the deadlines kill you...it pains me to see you suffering like this. BIG HUGS - to you and Mrs. Jazza

This proper hit me. See so many similarities between how you feel and how you think. Artists are always afflicted with mental health issues, I think thats where the art comes from, the desire to leave something of yourself behind be it a painted landscape or a cartoon, you want a footprint that remains of you. Keep strong, man, yoga and videogames help alot. I'd be happy even seeing you stream games. Solid guy, keep on keeping on.

Please don't hide from us, we support you, I SUPPORT YOU, we are all your friends, so you can trust us with your feelings and worries. it is ok, I have depression, I was numb for a year after my mom died, I'm not surprised by this, or that you have depression after you had to put your cat down. I always laugh it off but I cry almost every night, now I am on meds but I still have breakdowns and my step-mom thinks I have something else and my therapist thinks I have bpd. I am 11 years old and have two half brothers who I barely see, a mom that is dead along with my dad's parents who I never got to meet, and my grandpa died and my grandma gets sick a lot and I barely get to see her, my therapist thinks I'm strong but a lot of the time I don't because people had been through worse, I have a friend who is an orphan and I would hate that, I cant imagine that. I hate to cry in front of people and I tell my self to suck it up, people have had much worse so no one would care what I was thinking. I always cheer my friends up and almost never see me sad and I don't let them help me because they have their own problems they need to face and they don't need my crap, I just help them. you don't need to do all the things I did, don't do the things I did, please.
P.S. I love you and your videos but stop over working, its not healthy.

At 11:25 when you talked about saying your problem is not as big as anther problem, as others told you and as you mentioned they are right, your feelings do matter. I do that with my heart problem. I have a pacemaker/defibrillator and almost died 3 years ago when I found out my heart was only pumping at 15 percent. when my family freaked and asked how I'm feeling I would bundle up my feelings and say well theres people with cancer who have it worse. So I know exactly how you feel on trying to bundle up feelings. But as many said, don't, don't feel bad about your feelings. Loosing a cat is just as hard as loosing anyone else, the cat is a family member. Take care of your self first. I love your videos. As many others have said we'll be here.

Hi Jazza. I had to put my cat down too, in July, and it does hurt. It still hurts. More than I thought it would by this point. But you have to allow yourself feel it and to FULLY grieve. I completely understand it feeling like the end of a certain point in your life. My cat was born in my back yard when I was 5 years old and she died at the vet, right before I turned 20, with me petting her and telling her that it was okay. Having her put down was the first truly adult decision I have had to make on my own. It felt like the end of my childhood. But she was my baby and she was sick. So I had to do what was best for her. Thank you for talking about this. I think I'm going to sit by her grave for a while.
As for you, take a break if you need it. We understand. It's good that you're lessening your workload. I'm glad that you're doing this for yourself. But we all want you to be okay and happy and sometimes you need space to do that for yourself. We love you.

Bryanna Kellogg I totally recognize mezelf in your story Bryanna. And in Jazza's story too. My cat got sick in May and I had to put her down in July, she couldn't fight anymore. She was only 13 and I had her for 12 years. I am 24 now so we practically grew up together and she was always there with me through every high and low and milestone. I was struggling and still am struggling with the guilt of putting her down and the loss of her and the end of our time together. And I was starring to worry about the time it will take me to heal but I can tell I am not the only one. And I guess it's okay for us to grieve a while longer. Q: Crying along with you helps Jazza. Thank you so much. You hit the nail on the head talking about this topic it helped me understand my own feelings.

My favorite cat was put down five years ago and I still cry if I think about it too hard. He was a good kitty! But I do not feel that ragged sadness I felt before, just a fondness for how great he was and a more subdued sadness. Time helps. Grieving helps.
