dudes have always given dudes shit over long hair. if the dude can pull it off he has access to unlimited amount of sex partners with no effort. its no secret. this is the cause of the jealousy. its actually pretty confident building to see so much rage and hate. been rockin long hair for over a decade and the man bun is definitely not a new trend. that undercut short nub man bun thing is kind of questionable but do what you want and be happy. it could all fall out and leave me bald and i will be happy i did it while i could. nothing compares to the viking status.

Fun fact about historic use of man buns, In my country from 15 to 19th century warriors were wearing long hair in a bun hidden under a cap, so if he got decapitated the enemy would hold his head by the bun and not by the ear, nose or god forbid the mustache.

I wouldn't be too worried about this trend. It just fits in with the pussified mangina hipster theme of the 2010s (aka one of the worst decades in history). People will look back at how godawful the fashion of this shitty decade was. Hopefully things will get better again in the 2020s.

Not saying suits are bad, but if something like a hairstyle trend makes you insecure with your masculinity, then you are probably not man enough in the first place.

I think man buns work for some people but deff not in a typical professional office job. If you work at some music place, are still in college, have an artsy job, etc. then it goes with the look.

We're all gonna look back at fashion in the 2010's the way we look at fashion in the 80's. The 80's also had unusual, androgynous hairstyles and fashion statements. I'm not saying other previous decades didn't have androgynous fashion trends (like emo/goth dudes in makeup and black nail polish), but the 2010's is right up there with the 80's.

Gender to a significant degree can be a social construct. However since I am not transgender and a cis male; I identify as male. But the point is my gender doesn't define what choices I can make, who I have a relationship with, what music I like, what my mannerisms should be, what occupation I should have. I doesn't define what types of food I eat, nor what opinions I'm supposed to have.
Human biology only provides answers to the biological appearance of men and women. I supplies some information regarding sexuality (not enough though). There is scientific arguments when regarding homosexuality and mannerisms. This is why we have men possessing mannerisms that have been perceived as predominately feminine and why we have women displaying mannerisms that have been perceived as predominately masculine. Its got to do with how the x and y chromosomes are distributed during birth.

I partly agree. It is an absurd idea, but it is also a strawman argument. Its a strawman argument, because literally no liberal I have ever encountered as ever made that argument. I really have no idea where you allegedly heard such an argument. You talk to any trans person about why it is they don't fit their biological gender and I guarantee you they will not use that argument. Trans people do not switch their genders by random like that. It is a lifelong struggle based on fear of rejection of society and discrimination.
If you want to know the truth about such matters, just talk to trans people and rationally ask them to educate you on their particular situation. Because the entire argument you have against them, is an argument from ignorance.
Btw nobody is denying the biological aspect of gender, we are simply saying there is more to gender than biology. The social ideology is also relevant in addition to our biological structure.

I cannot ever say I have heard or been told that because I am a male, then I must like certain types of music, food, mannerisms etc. Those are all aspects of personality. Some men have a more mellow personality, some more rough, while others are more flamboyant. When I say men need to grow a pair, I'm not saying that they cannot have flamboyant or mellow personalities and must all become lumberjacks. I know males with such personalities, but they are also men. Being a man relies on how you act. I'm just tired of seeing so many of my generation being over grown boys, afraid of commitment and personal responsibility, who would rather wear their pajamas all day long. (This is not to say you are that, since I don't know you and thus cannot say anything about that.)
I know, I jabbed at man buns and skinny jeans (after all, the point of the video was to be humorous), and those don't necessarily make one not a man. However, most of the males I know that had any desire to sport such trends as skin tight jeans did not have many of these traits. Just a personal observation.

If you guys wanna help "low-income men to become role models for their families and communities" with your #FormalFriday trend, I think you should better show them how to follow what they really strive for, how to put passion in a cause that matters and they believe in, regardless of how they dress and/or look, instead of implicitly telling them that wearing a suit for work will be their goal and success, cause we all know how much good for humanity the ones that wear it have done... Gentlemen Up is a good idea and I respect the good intention greatly but reconsider the notion of "being a gentleman", it's much more than looking smart and speaking well ; it's how you treat others. Short hair used to be reserved for the slaves/serfs. Long hair was for men independent of a master. A bun is an easy way to tie hair up while doing arduous work especially with the head facing down and could also be used to cool down. I'm dissapointend with you Dangle.
