Loaded question, my dear. I would have almost immediately said "COCO MADEMOISELLE!" until I had watched one of your #FragranceFriday videos, tried Noir, and now I will say that for sure its Coco Noir! I unfortunately think I may have developed an allergic sensitivity to Mademoiselle, but I don't know when that happened. I still try it from time to time, but it makes my throat hurt and my ears swell (sad face)...
DO you like COCO? I'm trying to decide between that or coco noir or chance. Chance kind of smells basic to me but I do like the dry down. Noir is so sexy but coco also smells good GRR so hard to decide!
I take my 14-year-old son along with me to pick my perfumes as he has a great nose lol and he reckons Gabrielle Essence is the best Chanel perfume out there for women and Chanel Bleu for men
Chanel is my absolute favorite brand! Coco Noir is my go to date night fragrance, Coco Mademoiselle intense is also another fabulous date night scent. Chanel Gabrielle intense is amazing I also have the original, I bought it in Paris at the flagship store! Even though I don't love Coco number 5 I'm actually going to add it to my collection because it's such a classic and iconic fragrance that my collection feels incomplete without having Coco Chanel Number 5.
Chanel no 5 was my mother's signature scent and you can imagine my surprise when my husband (then fiancé) bought me the EDP for Christmas. It's become my signature ever since and I feel like I'm finally mature enough to embody everything I loved and admired about my mother to wear it. Not a lot of people I know love it, but mature ladies and gentlemen never fail to compliment it and my husband absolutely adores it on me. It's truly something magical. Coco Mademoiselle is something I love on other people but it doesn't suit my chemistry, all I get on my skin is a strong honey - floral combo that's just not what I love when I smell it on other people.
Chanel is HANDS DOWN, my favourite fragrance house commercially!!! ❤️ adore Coco EDT & EDP, #19, Coco Mademoiselle EDP (going to get it soon again) , Chance Eau Fraiche, #5 EDT/P, Allure Homme (as a woman I can’t get enough of this to wear!!!!) and Egoiste. Iconic. ❤️
This put a smile on my face. I love Chanel fragrances. I wore Chanel No. 5 and 19 for so many years beginning in the 80’s. Funny how certain fragrances bring back lovely memories. I now wear Coco Noir and Mademoiselle Intense and have tried others you mentioned in between these favorites. I really enjoyed this. Thank you Erin Nicole! ❤️

My husband just bought me Chanel No. 5, he likes it better on me than Madamoiselle, which is the fragrance I was eyeballing. But it’s important that he likes what I wear, too! So, it’s a good thing I love the “Queen” of fragrance! It is classic. Guess I’m an old lady now! Lol But it reminds me of my Grandma, who worked at the cosmetics counter in L.A. at a store called The Broadway, it was a Dept. store like Nordstrom. My grandma was such a unique lady (kind of like Gabrielle). She was not the typical grandma who baked cookies and knitted sweaters! Lol She was spunky, fashionable, full of life and classy. She taught me a lot about cosmetics, though when I was younger I didn’t appreciate it! But the older I get, I really do appreciate luxury cosmetics! I think Grandma would approve!

No 5 is stunning, one of my faves , it seems to mesh with skin really well, it’s been around for a long time, so it’s obviously much loved and was created by the Russian royal family’s personal perfume maker so you can’t really go wrong with it !
This RUclips video might be old but I am looking to purchase a Chanel fragrance and I just want to say a huge thank you for being one of the most if not the top classy ladies to do this video… I literally had to click off of so many videos because it just did not represent the luxuriousness of the Chanel brand

I smelled it on the card and just smelled like shampoo to me. It’s nice, but I wouldn’t want to pay so much just to smell like shampoo. How does it change once’s it’s on the skin?
The original Gabrielle was nothing special for me, lackluster and definitely underwhelming however, Gabrielle Essence is exquisite and I immediately purchased it. Adding more of the gardenia was what took it over the top. Great video!

Never liked Chanel perfumes... until Coco Mademoiselle was created and I loved it! All their fragrances, up to that point were, to me anyway, ‘older lady’ scents; Chanel was for the older, wealthier ladies and gents - until Coco Mademoiselle. I wore the fragrance when my daughter was small and now my daughter wears the fragrance, it’s lovely that it’s still popular. I live in the southern hemisphere and am considering Les Eaux de Chanel for the upcoming summer - they have a set of 3 available in a travel set. I believe you can douse yourself in them and they still won’t be overbearing in the hot sun. Sad to see one of yours is pretty much unused. I hope they are worth the splurge.
NO.5 Leau is my all time favorite fragrance in the world. its such a fresh modern twist on the original, it is my gateway to Chanel fragrances and i love it!! thank you for sharing, your list is beautiful
Hello Erin, with the help of your videos I just found the courage to go to a Chanel Boutique and purchase my very first Chanel Perfume! And it was such an amazing experience. I went out with the idea of buying a Chance fragrance but ended up buying Gabrielle Chanel and I love it so much. It's so soft and floral and a great "everyday" fragrance. Coco is amazing! I once dropped a full bottle on the tile in my bathroom and it shattered. The vacuum still smells like old coco... I was so devastated I can’t bring myself to buy another bottle but it’s SO good! The top is new from Zara! I’ll try to link it :) it’s very thin and stretchy so very comfortable! Xx
You can never go wrong with Chanel fragrances... they are exceptional, I think anyone can find something special (though you’re right - they’re sometimes so popular it can be a bit discouraging...) But Chanel fragrances are my forever favorite. They don’t irritate me, they are not heavy or annoying (though can be potent), like I find many in the niche perfumery... for smth really special & not so mass-market there’re always Les Exclusifs (my favorites are 1957, N. 18, and Eau de Cologne...but there’re many more great ones, like Sycomore, Boy, Jersey, Gardenia...all so different & beautiful... if I could, I’d have them all 😆) I recently purchased Paris-Venise since the three eaux (except for Riviera still) came out in travel size 50 ml bottles. Deauville remains my favorite everyday fragrance, and Coco Noir will always be a night-out favorite (plus Mademoiselle Intense)😉💐 They’re all great, aren’t they, and so personal, too

I am still a Coco fan for spring/summer and 19 for fall/winter. I know you mentioned about it being limited in the states but in Europe it is very popular. Chanel 19 is readily available on the Chanel European website, in dutyfree shops and can be easily found at the cosmetic counters in department stores.
How interesting about 19! It must be more popular in Europe, sadly you can only find it in the Chanel boutiques now :/ I love Coco too, such a classic! xx
Great video, I too love the Gardenia fragrance, one of my favorites!! I used to use the Allure Sensual when it was still available in the stores and got so many compliments, I may have repurchase. My ultimate favorite is the Eau Tendre as it is such a beautiful light floral💗❤️😍

For my 18th birthday my mom got my Chanel N5 ! She wanted to be the first person to get me a “grown up” perfume she said 😂. It’s what my grandmother wore so it was really special to me and my dad loves when I wear it. I only wear it on special occasions and I apply it sparingly since to me it’s sorta “strong” . I think I wanna try Coco Mademoiselle next!

Loved watching this video 😊 I went to Harvey Nichols to smell Chanel Gardénia after watching you talk about it, and I’m in love with it but haven’t been able to get it yet, I love Chanel N°5 L'Eau it’s my favourite and I got the Beautiful Coffret for Christmas 2019, I also have and love Coco Noir too. I also love Chanel N°5 ELIXIR SENSUEL and wish they hadn’t discontinued it! x
My favourite Chanel fragrance is Christalle eau verte. I am sad to hear it is getting harder to find. It is a beautiful fresh light summer fragrance almost citrus. I am eager to experience some of Les Exclisif range such as the Gardenia and Beige. You made them sound so beautiful and special. Thank you for sharing some wonderful Chanel fragrances with us. I don't know why, but the classic N° 5 doesn't work for everybody, like on certain people (including me) it doesn't really smell good, but Allure is such a great fragrance 🖤
It’s hard to say which one of my Chanel fragrances is my favorite. I love each one of them so much. I really love eau fraiche, noir is beautiful, l’eau #5 that citrusy smell is so refreshing, coco mademoiselle I like the projection it has, love all the chances and Gabrielle I love to wear for work so I am intrigued about the essence, can’t wait to smell it and buy it. I love all Chanel perfumes to be honest. But these 5 are my best! Chanel Chance, Chanel eau fraice, Coco Mademoiselle, reg Coco, Eau Vive. The Chanel Chance alway reminds me when I worked for Home Care; Visiting Nurses. There was this boss lady that always wore it. It stood behind when she left the office and u always knew when she was there. I finally got the nerve to ask her, WHAT ARE U WEARING? And she said, Chanel Chance. This was back in 2009. I owned many Chanel fragrances in my life and I loved them. Whoever I am not that obsessed with them any more at this point of my life cause there are sooo many interesting and selective perfume houses out there on a market that take all of my interest...but I would take your advice and I am going to smell Allure S next time I am travelling to Paris. One of the bonuses living in Belgium as Paris is in about 3 hours drive.😁❤️

My signature scent for years used to be the chance eau tendre edt, until I started exploring other fragrances. I agree about the original chance and the noir they are beautiful and more mature in a good way like you are taken more seriously. I also like #19. I want to try Coromandel . Love perfume!! I am trying to get into Chanel fragrances but they do not cause me excitement, nor do they seem to last on me. I own Coco Noir, Gabrielle, Mademoiselle EDT & EDP, Chance , Chande Eau Tendre, and Eau Fraiche. I really want to love the scents, but sadly thus far I just like them.

Like I did not know the square top on Chance (one of my faves) represented dice. I’m getting to know more Chanel perfumes each time I order from Chanel I ask for tester perfumes for free samples. Great video, I too love the Gardenia fragrance, one of my favorites!! I used to use the Allure Sensual when it was still available in the stores and got so many compliments, I may have repurchase. My ultimate favorite is the Eau Tendre as it is such a beautiful light floral💗❤️😍

For my 18th birthday my mom got my Chanel N5 ! She wanted to be the first person to get me a “grown up” perfume she said 😂. It’s what my grandmother wore so it was really special to me and my dad loves when I wear it. I only wear it on special occasions and I apply it sparingly since to me it’s sorta “strong” . I think I wanna try Coco Mademoiselle next!

Loved watching this video 😊 I went to Harvey Nichols to smell Chanel Gardénia after watching you talk about it, and I’m in love with it but haven’t been able to get it yet, I love Chanel N°5 L'Eau it’s my favourite and I got the Beautiful Coffret for Christmas 2019, I also have and love Coco Noir too. I also love Chanel N°5 ELIXIR SENSUEL and wish they hadn’t discontinued it! x

My favourite Chanel fragrance is Christalle eau verte. I am sad to hear it is getting harder to find. It is a beautiful fresh light summer fragrance almost citrus. I am eager to experience some of Les Exclisif range such as the Gardenia and Beige. You made them sound so beautiful and special. Thank you for sharing some wonderful Chanel fragrances with us. I don't know why, but the classic N° 5 doesn't work for everybody, like on certain people (including me) it doesn't really smell good, but Allure is such a great fragrance 🖤

It’s hard to say which one of my Chanel fragrances is my favorite. I love each one of them so much. I really love eau fraiche, noir is beautiful, l’eau #5 that citrusy smell is so refreshing, coco mademoiselle I like the projection it has, love all the chances and Gabrielle I love to wear for work so I am intrigued about the essence, can’t wait to smell it and buy it. The allure hasn’t been too popular for me but I am interested in the allure sensuelle. Thank you for sharing your favorites💕! I share your love for Chanel fragrances♥️🤗

You might like Coco. The eau de toilette is light enough for day and the eau de parfum is more intense for evening.
I reordered Chanel No. 5 EDP recently and bought Coco Mademoiselle for the first time. I love both and plan to get the other Chanel fragrances, too.

I love all Chanel perfumes to be honest. But these 5 are my best! Chanel Chance, Chanel eau fraice, Coco Mademoiselle, reg Coco, Eau Vive. The Chanel Chance alway reminds me when I worked for Home Care; Visiting Nurses. There was this boss lady that always wore it. It stood behind when she left the office and u always knew when she was there. I finally got the nerve to ask her, WHAT ARE U WEARING? And she said, Chanel Chance. This was back in 2009. I owned many Chanel fragrances in my life and I loved them. Whoever I am not that obsessed with them any more at this point of my life cause there are sooo many interesting and selective perfume houses out there on a market that take all of my interest...but I would take your advice and I am going to smell Allure S next time I am travelling to Paris. One of the bonuses living in Belgium as Paris is in about 3 hours drive.😁❤️

My signature scent for years used to be the chance eau tendre edt, until I started exploring other fragrances. I agree about the original chance and the noir they are beautiful and more mature in a good way like you are taken more seriously. I also like #19. I want to try Coromandel . Love perfume!! I just love the way you describe perfume & the way it smells. I always learn something new in your perfume videos when I watch them. Like I did not know the square top on Chance (one of my faves) represented dice. I’m getting to know more Chanel perfumes each time I order from Chanel I ask for tester perfumes for free samples. No. 5 L’eau is great in hot weather. It smells fresh and doesn’t change when it is mixed with sweat.
