No one knows for sure." she said. “我不确定，谁都说不准。”她说道。 Emma felt a knot in her stomach. 艾玛感到一阵紧张。 "It’s so unfair. People have families to support." Emma said angrily. “这太不公平了。人们都有家庭要养活。”艾玛生气地说道。 Jennifer nodded in agreement. 詹妮弗点头表示赞同。 "I heard some of them didn’t even get a proper warning." Jennifer added. “我听说他们中有些人甚至没有得到正式的通知。”詹妮弗补充道。 Emma sighed heavily. 艾玛重重地叹了口气。 "I hope they at least get a good severance package." she said. “我希望他们至少能拿到不错的遣散费。”她说道。 Jennifer glanced around to make sure no one was listening. 詹妮弗环顾四周，确认没有人偷听。 "We should stay alert. It could happen to anyone." she warned. “我们应该保持警惕。这事可能发生在任何人身上。”她警告道。 Emma nodded, feeling uneasy. 艾玛点了点头，感到不安。 "We’ll have to wait and see." she said quietly. “我们只能等等看了。”她低声说道。 Jennifer patted her on the shoulder. 詹妮弗拍了拍她的肩膀。 "Let’s hope for the best." Jennifer said, trying to stay positive. “希望最好的情况发生吧。”詹妮弗试图保持乐观地说道。 Emma forced a smile and got back to her work. 艾玛勉强笑了笑，然后回到了工作中。
