Great upload, fan from the UK here. Got the Bali Island EP and Can't Get Enough Of cd as well. Shame they didn't release more, one of my favourite US ska bands
Saw Donkey Show in Houston , TX at Fitzgerald's. 1989, I believe. Pretty sure it was the one and only time they ever played in Hou. We were so starved for decent live ska back then. Great show and memory!
What a treat to see ~ Miss the days of Ska and San Diego bands ~ Kym had the most amazing closet of vintage ever! Glad I stumbled across this gem. xo Anita Faijita Going to go see if I can find my monkey boots now.
@@WorldRockumentaryChannel My dad retired as a drummer and they can't really get in touch with a few of the original members, even if they could most of them have moved on, even a reunion is not likely unfortunately
@@p3n1_85 Great band, one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. Your dad is/was a fantastic drummer. I edited this back in 1989. A process aclled 'insert editing' you can see how the tape is out of sync with the edits, how it speeds up too. Glad you got to see this. Great band, great songs.
Donkey Show was the best ska band at this time. And I think of all time. I saw them 4 or 5 times up in Berkeley; I thought they must be local! When No Doubt started to get big, I was baffled because they sucked when I saw them around the same scene in SoCal. But then again, No Doubt matured and evolved and broke as a non-ska band.
@@WorldRockumentaryChannel yep, that was the show. Thanks for sharing! Any chance you've got footage from Donkey Show and Bad Manners? I'm thinking about the same time and in Whittier for some reason.
@@WorldRockumentaryChannel Kym is married to Petey X from Rocket From The Crypt. Chris is still playing ska music with Unsteady in San Diego. @@WorldRockumentaryChannel They were one of the pioneers of the so-cal ska and mod/scooter scene, hailing from San Diego. One of the first "3rd wave" ska acts around. They were active circa 86-90. Well, I hope they all get to see this, share it for them that would be great. Captured their youth. I Love how they all jam out on "Fade Away" and dance together. Great song, great voice on Kym. @@rjrod1326
I saw these guys at the venerable and dearly departed Fitzgerald's in Houston TX one weeknight in what must have been 1989 (right?). Had to be the one and only time they played in Houston. One of the most fun shows I ever saw.

Yeah, this band was excellent. Where did they all end up?
No Doubt was so bad they were booed off the stage at Fender's Ballroom in Long Beach, 88 or 89.

I had their EP but it did not do them justice. I wish I had seen them live. Sadness...
