    Nice video! I think you should add a voltmeter to the system so you can keep an eye on battery voltage and won't over discharge the battery.

      I was considering adding one. There are some more expensive charge controllers that have them integrated. Maybe a future upgrade!

      @@AJLoDato22 Yes there are $10 and $20 charge controllers that will give a constant readout of your battery voltage. I would go the controller route rather than just a volt meter.

    Can you help me find out how many hours would lights run I have spare Deka 12-Volt 950 Amps CCA Farm Equipment Battery that I want to put to use so thought about using it for the shed depending on how many hours it would last.

    Thank you this is the best video I found.
    How long do the lights stay on before they dim out?

    • @AJLoDato22
      @AJLoDato22  15 дней назад +1

      From the help of Reddit getting CCA converted to Amps, and figuring out the wattage of the battery - the (4) 10 watt lights should be able to stay on for 9.5 hours!

      @@AJLoDato22 so what should I buy? I want to do this same set up but would like the set up to last. What was left out of the video?
      Thank you!

      @@gabegotstheword this same setup will last. If you want the lights to last longer either buy a higher amp hour battery or wire two in parallel.

      @@AJLoDato22 so all Id have to do is get a bigger battery with more amps so maybe a 16v instead of a 12V?

    • @AJLoDato22
      @AJLoDato22  15 дней назад +1

      @@gabegotstheword if you’re good with ~9 hours of run time you can buy the battery in the description. If you want longer, find one with higher amps. Don’t switch to 16v as they won’t work with the lights, switches or wire. These are 12v only.

    Nice. Question: Did you tie into a bus bar off the switch to feed each set of wires going to a light? Not sure how you’re supplying current to each light.

    • @AJLoDato22
      @AJLoDato22  27 дней назад

      I ran them in parallel essentially running from the switch to the first light. The junction at each light are the wires coming in, and going out. Feel free to DM me on IG if you’d like me to send a pic - @aj_lodato

    I am not sure why you choose a lead acid battery. Lifepo4 battery same price last much longer.

      It was hard to tell online which lithium batteries were high quality. Name brand ones were far more expensive and I didn’t want a cheap one to fail after a year.
