Its been a month but I still like the fact that Guy is still hyping Steve's skills as a golden demon level artist. Its like how a parent is proud for his son winning 2nd place.
I doubt we ever will, the back and forth between them was something special. Both were in it for the joy, just like how tabletop gamers are supposed to be as well :P
tbh that is healthy tho. the Age of ronnie coleman was Peak Steroid Abuse. were seeing it come back right now with social media Influencers unfortunately

I wouldn't worry about titan videos being boring once you've show us what you're gonna do. Your videos are so short and well produced that there's no time to get bored, even if you're basically just painting stuff. I don't come to this channel for painting tutorials or anything like that, I'm here to just check out what you've been up to. I go to people like Vincy V and Richard Gray for that boring yet incredibly helpful stuff.
I actually like the round craters. Probably didn't initially, but now they're painted up they look class, like they've been caused by some Akira style laser or something equally cataclysmic, and yet the weathering (and the fact that the titan still lumbers around) tells the story of planetsized conflicts long in the past... and also you couldn't be bothered, that's valid too.
Dramatic music, Guy gluing armour plates on to a giant robot, and, in the background, the Hello Kitty Hairdryer is hard at work; peak MWM 😍 The finished shots of the legs are amazing.
Pro tip for sponging on such narrow areas. If you have an old brush that's way past it's prime, chop all the bristles off down to the ferrule. Then, take a small piece of torn off sponge of your choice, and glue it down to the tip. It really helps with the accuracy in sponging trim or other bits.
I don't think any of your videos featuring this titan are boring tbh lol, I'm always fascinated by them. I'm looking to 3D print a warlord titan at some point and always need tips and inspiration.
Here's the thing though; I don't care if the vids are a bit same-y or not fresh or not new because *you're building a fraggin' Titan!* I want the full five miles; the exciting stuff and the boring stuff, because it's a project I'm unlikely to ever commit to myself, so I need to live vicariously through this!!
Amazing to see it come together- at the larger scale the battle damage and intense colours fuse into something amazing. I'm so excited to see the next update on this!
My s/o is really into Warhammer and they love it to bits. I personally never got into it, as it looks complicated. But I've loved these videos about the Warlord Titan. Very cool.
Don't despair about content, Guy and crew-- so long as your stuff is written and filmed with the same easy, approachable manner you've always had, your enthusiasm and passion will remain contagious. (Midwinter Minis and Sonic Sledgehammer Studios both inspire me to paint more bravely than I ever have before, and you have my gratitude and support in all you do!)
You know what I really value about your videos Guy, you show MISTAKES, so many hobby videos acknowledge mistakes by saying "if you mess up blah blah blah" but you actually show when you make a little oopsie instead of hiding it. It makes me feel good that mistakes are incredibly common even at a higher level and im very glad you show them :)
I appreciate your explanation for battle damage. It's your model, you decide how you want the damage to look. So many new things to try on my chaos knight build
It looks fantastic! I was a teeny weeny bit sceptical about the scheme before you did it, but it worked out really well. That bit of rust and wheatering adds a lot of nice subtle detail and some warmth.
I’m mainly an armour modeller and I’ve always been fascinated by the differences between Warhammer and normal armour modelling, for example the differences in battle damage techniques and the difference in techniques of painting
Great to cu referencing Nightshift, i dont build real world stuff but I've learnt loads of techniques from him. Entertaining vids as well, i highly recommend for any vehicle builders out there.
Wonderful vid. Couldn't agree more about White Grey as a failed paint as I have my bottle sitting near the sink waiting to be emptied so I can use the dropper bottle. Some use left in it!
So exciting to see this project come together. I know that for us it feels like a long time coming, but it would take me so long to wrap my head around this project if I were doing it and yours looks great.
OMG this looks gorgeous! I’ve been on and off painting a Blood Angels army, and I am definitely using that metal patina sponging method for the impulsor I have! Btw don’t worry about your videos being “boring”, because they always leave me dumbstruck with the level of quality shown in your work! Wishing you the best of luck on your Titan painting adventure!
Thoughts after watching the intro. I don't think you need to worry so much about a unique video every time.. a lot of viewers are loving seeing progress. And progress is progress, we are enjoying the journey.
The titan tech priest who must take care of this titan must be crying so much battle damage. He’s sure got his work cut out for him Also awsome paint job. I think the titan tech priest is in a lot of trouble when the titan goes back to its forge world for maintenance 😃awsome warlord bye the way.👍🏾
I've waited so long, now I can colour in the Warlord Titan's legs. Remember I drew Guy's Warlord and refused to colour it unless Guy paints it then when he finishes it, I post it on Deviantart.
Absolutely love how it has turned out so far! Also, the montage of the panels being glued on reminded me so much of the Space Marine Armouring Ritual video - someone more talented than I needs to make that edit!
6:11 if you grab a paper/plastic/metal straw and you stick a piece of sponge on it, you can use the sponge as a paintbrush and you can control the width of it by having a tube (straw) with a hole of that diameter.
just for me the issue is just that there's so much battle damage on the armor but nothing on the rest, it make it seems like those fighting the titan were purposefully targeting the armor instead of the important bits in the areas not covered. Still a brilliant video, thanks for sharing!
To be honest, 'boring painting' is about 80% of model building and wargaming minis, it seems. While I don't need to see a live stream of it, a few cuts of each progression is more than enough to show the progress being made. So far, it's coming along amazingly well and I love the small details! I'll even go on a limb and thank your channel- along with a few others- for giving me the confidence to do some detail airbrush painting of my own. Rather than farm a project out to someone more skilled, I watched several videos from various hobbyists and wargamers, soaked up as much as i could, and forged ahead. I'm immensely proud of my project and how it turned out, so keep up the great work!
well Ceramite is very likely a ceramic composite armor. Meaning layered Ceramics, Rubber, Fiberglass, Steel, Toungsten and other materials. This is something you can see on the Chaos Warhound. In the craters of the Armor you can see that there are layers of other material, like reinforcing "nets" etc in the plating.
Stupendous work as always on the Titan project. I know they don't do this in Warhammer 40k, but I feel like they should refer to the various bits of Titan armor like they're elements of knightly armor. In this video we might have semi-sabatons for the feet, demi-greaves for the shins, poleyns for the knees, cuisses for the thighs, and a fauld for the crotch piece.
Its been a month but I still like the fact that Guy is still hyping Steve's skills as a golden demon level artist. Its like how a parent is proud for his son winning 2nd place.
Bodybuilding still hasn't seen a rivalry like Jay vs Ronnie, it goes so deep you'll find them in a 40K Warlord Titan painting progress video.
He's that crippled now he would need to be put in a dreadnought though lol.

yes, those men were titans of power and force, instead of steel and wire.

Hello Guy,
I second the opinion that your work is wonderful and you always make brilliant videos. The style you use really accentuates your talent.
I feel a lot of nostalgia for that poor plastic palette that's been given the 100 coats treatment
The real star of the show
I actually like the round craters. Plenty made up energy weapons in the grim dark future that evaporate matter, maybe one of them caused the round damage or even space magic
Holy shit it looks so good

Ooh, good one! I'll have to try that myself.
Love this series! Keep up the great work Guy

I like how you, Eric’s Hobby and Scratchbash are all making titans and I’m impatiently waiting for ALL of them
Never boring. Still the best hobby channel on YT. You had me worried with your 100 coats meme video, but even that was entertaining.
Can't wait to see the rest Guy. Amazing work. Top of the Hatty for both of ya.
Oh man that is really looking fantastic.

I'm loving this series of videos. Can you imagine the feeling of satisfaction once this Titan is complete? Keep up the great work.

This is such a wonderful project to watch unfold. I doubt that I'll ever have the money to build my own so surrogacy of this kind is perfick!
Hooo mama, this is looking great! Great work team MWM!
As always, this is incredible. The paint-job looks so lifelike
I love just watching people work, please keep posting videos like this!!!

I dont this is boring to see something as awesome as this to come together, even if you would make a video per panel I would watch them gladly
I got my midwinter minis old 40k shirt recently. It looks and feels so amazing! Thanks you guys
Always enjoy the painty vids!!
Its coming along swell, I can only imagine though the feeling that cone from such a big "mini" project
Nice video, and not boring too.
And, I know it's on purpose, but that assembly of the armor panels + the MWM music is perfect.
The use of top gear audio clip at the beginning really got me😂👍🏻
Bodybuilding AND 40k?! My two favourite hobbies in one video. You sir just made my night.
That has to feel amazing to get those armor panels on. Yeah dude your “mini” paint it how you want it!! Thanks for sharing!
It's starting to look realy realy cool. Great job keep 'em coming, can't wait.
Really nice to see this start coming together now. :)
Wonderful vid. Couldn't agree more about White Grey as a failed paint as I have my bottle sitting near the sink waiting to be emptied so I can use the dropper bottle. Some use left in it!
It looks sooooo fresh already!
Looks great nicely done looking forward to seeing it all come together great video thanks for sharing 👍🍻

The genes of the Warlord Titan are immaculate, he can actually have decent calves.
Hello midwinter minis! Your how to play 40k 8 edition inspired me to start my new favorite hobby.
I've waited so long, now I can colour in the Warlord Titan's legs. Remember I drew Guy's Warlord and refused to colour it unless Guy paints it then when he finishes it, I post it on Deviantart.

This build is ridiculously inspiring for my own forthcoming build of titanic proportions.

The intro is being a Contant creator in a nutshell. Love the Titan
Amazing!
Also you give the positive comments more attention rather then the negative ones!
That Quad-Stomp from Jay though. He was a Beast back in the days
Yea this is going to be a slick epic-looking titan!
