Based on your comment at 2:12, I think it’s important to note that it’s “Push Standalone,” NOT “Ableton Live Standalone.” There are quite a few features of Live that you can’t access through the Push UI right now: Follow Actions, Arrangement View, certain controls of certain devices, etc. It’s an amazing device, but if someone buys it thinking it’s “a complete standalone version of Ableton,” they will hit some limitations quickly!
I’m about to order the controller version. Struggling to see why I would get the stand alone version. I don’t mind having a laptop nearby since I take it with me everywhere. I can just not look at my laptop lol
nice breakdown -- love my 2,, but as a non-performer i always questioned,, why i'd opt for the standalone,, especially if u can't use vst's etc,- but,, convenience,, once again-,, i do lots of traveling,, so,, might be a thing
I love the idea that you are able to make music without a computer. Also limitations are usually great when creating. Of course you can shut down the computer screen while using push 2.
I’m always looking for the one box to get rid of everything else. Sick of gear. Can the push 3 do harsh noise music? Sample mangling? I am used to Octatrack and Eurorack, but wondering if the Push 3 can replace everything else for me.
i just started looking into the 3, and I noticed a TON of negative comments but all from 5 months ago. Was it buggy for you? Or have they worked it mostly out since then?
This would be nice. I just use the Simpler instrument, but it would be cool if I could just use one pad on the Drum Rack chromatically without needing to add an extra separate track. I think it has to do with how Ableton handles MIDI notes and not having nested "Notes within Notes" similar to how MPC does 16 level chromatic mode.
Looks like They don’t want some people to buy. Not available to purchase from elsewhere and not shipping to many countries. Used to ship push 1 when it came out. But now its just very hard to find

I would be excited for the Push 2! But a Push 3 would be mindblowing and could finally get rid of my old gear and have more functional powerful setup.
Can you plug an exteral battery in like you would a cell phone?
The push 3 looks so siicccckkkk to use !

For real, that extra grand is just crazy. Maybe the controller could be $799 too, I bet more people would be enticed
@@djlucasd Yup I’m still good with the controller version. May get the move at some point though
@@jacksp8de Nice, I just ordered mine yesterday, hoping for it to come tomorrow! How do you like it compared to an MPC?
@@djlucasd I love the MPC. It’s just different but drums seem to hit harder.
@@jacksp8de I feel you, I miss my 2000 and Live 2. Bro, you gotta get on Decimort 2, that MPC60 Preset is crazy!
Awesome video Fess! It was fun meeting you at SB (Chris here, the wiggler guy). Love to see more love for expressive control

Right. Maybe you will start performing!

Learn the Ableton DAW 1st. You'll then be able to do whatever kind of music you want on the Push 3.

Where is 16 level mode(chromatic) for a single pad on drum rack?

@@djlucasd like how the Move does it
i just wish push 3 was cheaper .. it is alot for a i3 ... i am loving the interface and workflow ... right now i have push 2
For 1,500 I would attempt to make a push pad..
Get the non-standalone Push 2/3 and a laptop and you are better off and cheaper.
@@milk_bathplus always the option to upgrade down the line if you go with the 3.
@FSK1138 DIY. Get the controller version. Grab the parts. Should be around $300 for i3, 8GB ram and 256GB ssd.
Ohhh Rassss!

What do you mean? It’s available from Ableton’s own website and ships worldwide
I need this
Oh Raaas!!!!

Not my dream, not even close.
