I'm a recovering poly addict and my main drug of choice was methamphetamine/speed. Recovery was hard but so worth it in everyway possible. Now I can focus on my beautiful daughter and not have to worry about how I'm going to get my next 8ball

This made me think alot about what im going through im newly devoirced and i have been drinking the pain away .but when I seen outlaw go into the AAA building it made me stop to think that i dont need beer or wishkey to wash a way my pain thank you from the bottom of my heart.

But his song "Cocaine" is still the song that literally saved my life. I was going down the wrong road so fast I couldn't even see what path I was on. Wasn't GOD that helped me, that fucker didn't even seem to care I was dying. But Crucifix man... your the one that saved me. I'll never forget the day I discovered your music. Thanks my dude.

This year alone, I have taken care of my grandmother on hospice until she went to the other side, then I lost my baby girl and had to carry her in my body for 5 weeks and then delivered her spontaneously alone with my small children at home, then I lost a couple of sisters in law to freak accidents and murder, then my father committed suicide.... I'm telling my troubles to the bottle too. I've been upsetting many of those around me but even my psychiatrist told me that if it helps me escape my mind and let's me laugh and get my emotions out, do it. Can relate to some of this! I grew up with several step days. Domestic violence was a way of life for me part of my life as a kid. My dad was an Alcoholic, my mom was an Alcoholic and died from it. When I was going through my divorce wondering if I would see my kids again. My new girl friend told me she was pregnant with her old boyfriends child. Then my mom died, things weren't going good at work and I had acid re-flux and thought I was having heart attacks. The docs kept telling me there was nothing wrong with me when I knew there was. I was physically and mentally drained. After all this I couldn't take it anymore, so I hit the bottle every day. One day I thought of my mom, my dad & my kids and I was also a Closet Christian living in Satan's world and ways. I said to myself this is not what God, my family or what friends I have left want for me. They don't want me to waste my life away, they want me to LIVE life well. I remembered all the good things and times in my life and said to myself I want those good times BACK! I put the bottle down, FIXED MY ATTITUDE, went back to church and got right with GOD. I only look back now to those bad times to remember where I WAS and Who I WAS and to NEVER return! I have a good job now, a fine wife and a wonderful son with TWO Degrees. One in Computer Science and one in Mathematics. I found respecting and treating others the way I wanted to be treated and respected wasn't weak, it was the power to be loved by others and to love others. It was my attitude and me following Satan that was messing up my life not others. Once I fixed my attitude and set some goals life was good again, not perfect but good. Well worth living! Heck I even have a YT channel that I share what my dad taught me about cars and what the Navy taught me about electronics. Life is worth living just don't expect it to be perfect, or you'll be weak and will crack when times are tough. Be strong and LIVE! Don't let the Devil or bad things in your life control you or your attitude.
I have a few saying saying I try to live by. I tell my youngest son all the time;
1."Control your emotions or they will control YOU. Your emotions if not controlled with take your, job, you family, your freedom and then your life. Be the master of your emotions, don't let them be your master son". When he was young, he had a temper, I used to tell him Control your emotions and attitude or I will control them for you, because when you're a man I won't be able to do it for you".
2. "If you don't ask the answer is NO! Wisdom is knowing when and when not to ask"!
3. "You make friends and good memories with your tools and skills".
4. "God gave us a Code/Laws to live by. He made everything so you can know he knows what he's doing. He didn't make them for Him, He doesn't need them, He made them to help US"! Respect Him and them and you will live a happy life."
5. "Life is hard so God gives you gifts. A Spouse, kids & friends. Respect & treat those gifts well, or you may damage them and then you'll have to repair them to get them back."
6. "With people, DON'T burn bridges you don't have to. You may need what's on the other side some time."
7. “Make up your mind to respect God, and to be somebody that others will respect and love, then you will be that to God and others.”

I go through this alcoholism s*** everyday, the song is very relatable. Let me tell you, if I could go back in time... I would have never picked up that first drink and 14 years old. Sure, it's fun... then you want to have fun every night, then the fun ain't so fun when you're paranoid driving through town thinking that everybody's watching you. It's not worth it man, it's really not worth it.
