I dig the look you're going for! There are many Mustangs out there, so doesn't matter if you customize one more that was already burned. Make it how you want, take your time, be prepared to fail and try again... it will turn out awesome!

It took approximately 16 years to paint the Mona Lisa. Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa between the years of 1503 and 1519. However, scholars tend to debate the exact timeline of the portrait’s completion. Some art historians believe da Vinci started the artwork later than 1503 based on the evolution of his style, while others argue that the portrait was never finished at all.
@George Absolutely not, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Thank you for the laugh. BIFB mustang is on another level compared to this, no offense it's just facts. You're saying this is better than a mid-engine, full custom chassis, custom one off wheels, custom widebody kit, etc. You're delusional lol.
Thanks Ben I like how bold the car will look. Keep at it and don’t get discouraged by negative comments. They are just jealous of your talent and vision .. maybe you could get summit racing onside they have a massive range of 65 parts. Good luck .
I was thinking the same thing, if he went with the bigger one but made so as it goes into the fender it gets closer to the body, like at an angle front to back, would make it flow better, imo.
To me the vents on the rear wheels are ppointless and could end up causing more noise than any cooling effect as the air going through will hit the tyre and do nothing to hlp cool the brakes .. It will also increase the air in side the wheel arch which most cars use vent at the rear of the arch to reduce the preasure adding a vent at the front will just increase the preasure in the arch
@@peteycrack215 bisforbuild just use mustang gt vents (i believe) and molded them into the body. i get vtuned might not want to copy it, but it's the way to go.

Ben, I recommend you slot the quarter panel half the distance or more of the length of the vent you made to bury the back part of the vent into the body. then you can push the quarter panel inward to create a vent opening. Then make and weld in filler pieces top and bottom on the newly created vent opening.
Excellent description and plan.I was going to suggest the same, but you worded it better. To cool the brakes, which are now in further, the vent needs to drop in as you described. Then he can build a channel to direct the air inside the well.
The only thing I don't like is vent, but the wide body fender looks good. The rear of the fender might look better if you open it up just a bit so it doesn't look like it's curving around the tire so much. I like where you are going with this build.

Ben, I like your ideas, you're turning a classic into a modern custom car, it's going to be a head turner when you're done! Just a suggestion, I had a hi-perf 66 fastback K car that had been modified by the factory for Shelby, it had the rear scoops and they were curved instead of flat, the two surfaces above and below the flat in the door are slightly curved so maybe add a slight curve to the scoop? Also, speaking as an old man that has had 6 knee surgeries, please take care of your knees, may I humbly suggest investing in some good knee pads to prevent bruising and tearing the meniscus membranes in your knees, they can only cut so much off and then it has to be a knee replacement prosthesis, and that will eliminate you from ever working or putting any weight on your knees. I'm looking forward to the build, and like you said, it's your car so build it like you want it, I seriously doubt any of those negative commentators could rebuild a wreck McClaren, so don't waste your time on their foolish comments!
I'm really enjoying this build Ben. DON'T STRESS the haters! Build it your way for yourself. Oh and what if you open the original rear vents and fab some internal venting tubes to the rear brakes? Hey man, I like what you’re doing but want to give you a heads up before you get too far. Mock up the front tire where it will fit and cycle it through its turning cycle. The original wheel opening is too small and wide tires tend to grab the bottom of the fenders when turning. I run an 315 front tire on my 66 and had to do a bit of clearance work. Good luck, keep the videos coming.
I cant say I'm a fan of the wide body flairs, I like a widebody that uses the cars existing body line, like it could have come out of the factory that way. But this is your build and you build it how you like it or want it ... each to their own. Everything else is looking good so far, hope you posted more often though. Keep up the good work. 💯
This mustang is gonna be freaking awesome Ben. Once your brothers especially Yuri and Paul get cracking with their skills it's gonna be one of a kind Mustang I tell you...
Looks good! Better than I was imagining. Rim design will be important. Needs to be simple IMHO. Also 18s front and rear and ditch the side vent or at least retain the shape of the existing fake vent. That is a Mustang characteristic.
.wish you would have gone with a true wide body kit, but of course your not done yet and I cant wait to see what your final product will be, I'm so glad you did more to the fenders because it was resembling the fenders off a utility trailer til you added the sheet metal. I was personally liking the direction you were going originally,
I have a suggestion, if you’re going to do a lot of custom metal work. Get an old school English wheel and it’ll make it easier to tighten up those curves on the flares and even making the wide body flares much easier and more uniformed. Definitely looking forward to the finished product.

Build what you want to build man. Looking good so far!
Epic build ,love your work ,well done ,one suggestion buy a metal guillotine ,keep up the great work
That looks insane! This is going to be an absolute beast!
Loving the look of the car, go with your gut feeling!!! Regards from Spain!!
The Mustang looks sick! Keep going Ben. This is a awesome project.
This mustang is gonna be freaking awesome Ben. Once your brothers especially Yuri and Paul get cracking with their skills it's gonna be one of a kind Mustang I tell you...
Good to see your taking some time for your health. Get healthy and you’ll be at it better than before. Cars looking tough!
a masterpiece in the making! Keep at it bro!! Lots o' love from Malaysia
I like your thinking on this project. I can't wait to see it completed.
Looks good! Better than I was imagining. Rim design will be important. Needs to be simple IMHO. Also 18s front and rear and ditch the side vent or at least retain the shape of the existing fake vent. That is a Mustang characteristic.
I like the uniqueness of your project. Can’t wait to see it all painted and ready to hit the car shows.
Car shows? Lol
About time you were back you do what makes you happy 😊
.wish you would have gone with a true wide body kit, but of course your not done yet and I cant wait to see what your final product will be, I'm so glad you did more to the fenders because it was resembling the fenders off a utility trailer til you added the sheet metal.
I was personally liking the direction you were going originally,
Quit doubting yourself and just do it the hate comments will always be there dont worry about that just do your research and build it you got this
I have a suggestion, if you’re going to do a lot of custom metal work. Get an old school English wheel and it’ll make it easier to tighten up those curves on the flares and even making the wide body flares much easier and more uniformed. Definitely looking forward to the finished product.
