LMAO Hi, it happens that when Gminor has a C for root, its automatically called Cm9, in this particular case the chord also has the note Eb wich is the minor 3rd for Cm and not a chord tone to Gm so it may sound like Gm but the bass is what gives the name to the chord (just notation rules i think), any way the two chords can be interpretated in so many ways but its basically a II V for a Bbmajor7, where Gm is aeolian so it fits perfectly, you can also play D phrigyan, Eb lidian, F mixolidian, A locrian, Bb ionian (major), and Cm dorian, they are all the same scale starting in different notes. hope you enjoy the track and find it usefull!
