  • A recent visit to Huddersfield gave me the chance to film a few clips of Class 68s on Trans Pennine Express services.
These engines sound fantastic what a treat to see them.
They were filmed on 12th and 13th March and feature
68020 on the 1654 Liverpool to Scarborough service with Reliance facing the wrong direction.
68026 Leaving Huddersfield station heading for Liverpool with the 0634 from Scarborough.
A second shot of 68026 departing Huddersfield with the 0953 to Scarborough from Liverpool.
The final shot is 68020 with the 0854 Liverpool to Scarborough.

An absolute pleasure to drive to. Fast, comfortable if a little noisy in the cab,but they accelerate nearly as fast as a Western! 😁

Great video. Nice to see loco hauled modern trains rather than units. Last time I was in Huddersfield Class 40s and Peaks were numerous. My god how time flies :( Thanks for sharing your video :)

great video, but ghastly locos, that dont make any noise, will stick with the class 50 and 52 locos i remember best
