Thanks Ryan! I appreciate that. It definitely takes patience, that's why I don't build many on road cars...plus the time involved. That being said, I'm happy with how it turned out...Thanks for watching!
Thank you! It's a perfect Rally body...these are not easy with all the overlapping decals...but man they look good when complete. Thanks for subscribing too!
Thanks! Same here, if I was going to buy a Celica it would be this one. Love the back hatch area and those large tail lights. Tamiya really does a good job with the details. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! I know, it would look so scale without those body clips and posts...with the new Tamiya BBX they went with body panels and Velcro, no clips...it's so much better. Thanks for watching!
Looks Awesome! I had just the TT-02R chassis also, I got the Tamiya Coppermix Skyline body set for mine. The chassis is built but haven't started the body yet. Lots of decal time coming on mine too. Thanks for showing us some tricks.
Love the Skyline body too...yes, I always start with the Chassis, but I wanted to do things differently this time. To think I can just put the body on after the chassis is done is exciting...sounds silly, but to anyone that has built an on-road Tamiya they understand... 😂
Thanks Mattias! I am happy with the results, it was worth the time and effort. I really took my time on this, it made it very satisfying. I have watched some of your videos too, I like your builds. Thanks for watching!
Definitely not perfect, but I appreciate the kind words. I do think it's the best technique though, I couldn't imagine taking the entire decal off the backing and hoping it goes on right. They can be a real pain. Thanks for watching!
It looks great!!! I love the high level of detail in the Tamiya on-road car kits but I admit, I hate putting on all the overlapping decals.... I am still traumatized by the Ford GT MK2, that thing took 3 or 4 nights of cutting and applying decals! They look great when they are done but can be some of the most tedious things to do in the hobby! LOL!! I have been eyeing this car recently on the TT02 chassis... I need another car like a whole in the head but it is really sharp looking!
Well Addam, I have learned my lesson over the years. I worked on it only when I felt like it. It took many days to get it done but was actually more enjoyable that way. I love the detail of the on road cars, but I love driving the buggies. Both are enjoyable in totally different ways. I have one more on-road car on my project list and it scares me...the M-05 VW MK1 Golf. Now that one will be a challenge.
Absolutely amazing job... I truly dont have the best patience lol

Can’t wait to do mine on a ta01. Great job.❤
Thanks Luke! That means a lot coming from you...your builds/restorations are awesome!
Wow! Amazing work on this. I just ordered this body. It will be going on my LC racing PTG2 rally chassis.

Always thought them Celicas where sweet back in the day.. Now I want one.. Haha thanks for the great video... Quality!👍

@@eekrc I always picked her in the old school PS1 and PS2 Garnd Terismo Games... Sexy haha, Keeper RIPPIN bud...
Very nice job! Looks so awesome
This body needs body magnets 😉 ( say no to drilling body holes)

Great paint and decal work, turned out real nice.

I literally just bought this bought at time of comment. She’s going to be a solid color though.
Awesome! I love the race decals, but a street version would look cool too...I haven't seen one yet. That's a great idea. Have fun with the build!
Looks fantastic!👌😀
Thank you! I'll be starting on the TT-02R chassis soon...should be a fun build!
Awesome job! 👏🏽
Thanks! Sometimes patience helps...I don't always have it, but this time it worked out 😂
Amazing job. I’ll have to attempt your technique applying the decals on my next build. Seems to work great . The decals came out perfect.

No entiendo como as pintado la calandria delantera de negro y los cristales...antes as tapado el chasis blanco?? Y luego pintar?
I used smoke on the windows so you can still see through them a little, are you saying you used black paint on the windows?
