@@Elena-jb2dj I can tell you I tried with non-stretch metallic fabric but it didn't look as neat, I believe you can see it on my previous video where I do all the testing.
I’ve tried this on scrap stretch fabric , it does look great and the foam held really well, however it was quite challenging to cut with scissors without sticking to them. Other than that it was a great method without dealing with glue.
That is indeed a downside of it. I prefer to cover as much as I can after I cut the rough shape and then use a bit of fabric glue for the stubborn edges at the back. Also, you can clean the scissors with alcohol or acetone by the way
Personally I wanted to use stretch HTV vinyl and sew the tights myself (more like leggings). Tights are very stretchy and I think anything you glue to them would eventually come off. You can always try and see what happens?
Did you encounter any issues with the gold colour fading with your fabric? I bought a gold spandex, but the gold faded from me just handling it. and even more when it rubs on skin :(
Oh no! I've had this issue but only with very old fabric. Probably the quality of the actual fabric has to do with it? The one I used for this project was fine but I recommend not to crease it too much as that can leave ugly marks
One question, how many milliliters was the craft foam, i need to do some edges for my Fatui Cicin mage but im not sure if i want them thin or a little thicker :/ what would you recommend?
I used cheap craft foam, either 2mm or 3mm, I think anything bigger becomes a bit bulky unless you want that kind of effect. If it is just to add a bit of thickness stick to 2/3mm, if you want to make it look like a 3D chunky piece of metal go thicker. Love the fatui designs ❤️
Is this material really 2 way stretch? I know you said it is but when you stretched it it looked like 4 way stretch
You are absolutely right, I meant to say 4-way stretch!
@@AliceinCosplayland oh ok do you think it works with 2 way stretch too or make a lot of unsatisfying edges?
@@Elena-jb2dj I can tell you I tried with non-stretch metallic fabric but it didn't look as neat, I believe you can see it on my previous video where I do all the testing.
@@AliceinCosplayland ok I know tried my new fabric and if you place it in the ideal direction, 2 way stretch works fine without wrinkles.
@@Elena-jb2dj that's great! Thanks for letting us know 🙏🏻

You are welcome 😊
Queda tan perfecto!!! muchas gracias por el video en serio me ayudo haciendo los cositos para Seraphine
Me alegro de que fuera útil! Con muchas ganas de ver tu Cosplay!
Would you recommend using this glue for attaching the details to Ganyu's tights, or would a different method work better?

How thick should the eva foam be?
That depends on what you want,I went for 2mm, craft foam will do
@@AliceinCosplayland tysm!!
Thank you for the tutorial, and for the cat shenanigans
🙏🏻 My cats are the stars of the show 😋
Excellent!!! ❤️✨✨✨
Thank you!
Are you able to wash cosplay with foam glued on?
Yes, as long as you do it by hand. I would never wash any Cosplay in my washing machine anyway. They are just too delicate. Just be gentle with it.
