This song was sung by his VA before they were playing as characters from Genshin. Although I somewhat see that this song suits Diluc, I think it still works for Kaeya's character if he was singing it to Diluc based on their history together. Especially with the line "What are you running from? Is there anything I can do?" since Diluc left Mondstadt for about 4 years after his father's death and their fight together.
