Playing the inventory dance of "what do I keep, what do I throw away?" is not in any way fun or rewarding. Particularly when you plan on playing single-player only, where you have no option of trading, it doesn't make any sense to not be able to keep anything and everything you find. That's approaching masochistic levels of tedium, and that's not for me.
Well people should get used to it and hope D2R has it aswell, cause thanks to blizz not implementin PLoot global/optional we have the same garbage all over again with botting and pickit using andies and on top the cake, they even give THEM time to take the dust of their cheating tools by delaying the ladder start. Kinda nice of them for thinking about the cheaters :)
Plugy is everything I loved to have when I was playing in my youth...after all, awesome items always drop when you're in the wrong class and I've always enjoyed playing single player. I'm really happy with the result, it's perfect for me ty. :)
It says PlugY isn't compatible with this version: 1.14b. I have 1.14d installed and I followed your directions... Did something change in the past 3 months or did I go wrong somewhere

Thank you good sir. I've been old schooling it this whole time. Finally got tired of the stash space issue. It was like the first time I took an Uber instead of calling a cab.
Did not affect stash, which was the only reason I wanted it. The ini file is really complicated, thus why I am here, only to find that it was mentioned all of zero times on how to adjust the settings. The stash settings are all set to 1 so I don't know why it's not doing anything. File version is compatible. Edit: All those files in the version you have are not there in my download. It's different and I cannot find another video covering it.
Hi. I installed PlugY and Mod Maker on my 1.14d system with no problems. Only thing that didn't work it was running in a window ( all my desktop icons and so on was showing) with no black frame on each side. I fixed that with going to the PlugY ini settings >windowed and changed Maximized=1 from Maximized=0 :)
I've found a bug with the latest plugy. If you put an item in the shared stash without anything being in the personal one, then save, the item in the shared will be invisible and unselectable and you can't place anything in the slot anymore. Placing something into the personal stash anywhere fixes it.
I installed plugy > made a copy of the Diablo II folder > pasted in the Plugy folder and all files that came with it > then I tried opening from the Plugy launcher - it's not showing up any different than normal D2 LOD. I thought the stash would look differently off the jump atleast? Any advice? TIA
@@Croziz nope, unfortunately, but it's almost time for d2r now so fuck it. If they put more effort into plugy and made it simpler to get to work they could have monetized it and got more donors, but hey it works for some people.
Try SGD2FreeRes. It's a new mod that allows you to add any resolution to the in-game list. It also adds padding to screens just like MultiRes, but unlike that it also works with PD2.
Gameplay wise not much if any. If you are interested in the details you can google/bing etc. for "diablo 2 version history". There are a couple of sites where pach notes are published for each diablo 2 version. Its too long for me to explain here anyways, sorry. If you are talking about Plugy the latest version contains several upgrades/changes over the older versions of the mod, and i think the latest version of the mod might as well work with older versions of the game itself not just Diablo 2 1.14d (im not 100% sure so dont take my word for it).
I'm still on the older version, been meaning to upgrade it just haven't gotten around to it. Looks like I should do it soon. Just want to make sure I make a backup before I do anything, don't want to lose my current shared stash. Oh, I just remembered, I have a loot filter installed too. Slash diablo or one of those, but I use it offline. I'll have to make sure I can transfer that over too since I do like using that.
Im having some issues where i can open Plugy, my game is version 1.14D, i can load into bnet just fine without the plugy client so i know it works and is up to date. but when i open plugy, go to single player and make a character the game just crashes. anyone got any tips?
PlugY TCP/IP stash problem. Exiting games I get "connection lost" instead of a clean save&exit...recent activity is lost. Appears to be related to personal stash pages. Any work-arounds?
I've been using this for a few months now. A few notes: 1) there are now minions on Ubers; 2) I've only had a couple of crashes and it always involved paging through my stash quickly. It's very infrequent, but I'd recommend saving and quitting after a good find just in case. I still mourn the lost of that IST I lost when I paged through to drop it in on my rune page.
You can always make more runes on SP.... Just take closest you have below IST, lookup cube transmutes for your path (like if you have UM you will need 2 UM+ 1 topaz to make a Mal, then you need 2 Mal+ amethyst to make IST) and do these steps: go in game, put a rune in your inventory, close D2, locate save files for the character (PC/users//Diablo 2/..., you can check out online for exact path or just search your PC for character name) there should be 4 if I'm not mistaken, copy all files for that character, create a folder and paste there. Now launch D2, go in game, open stash and put the rune in the shared stash. Close D2. Open your NEW folder with save files you copied before, select them all and copy on top of normal save files by replacing. Launch D2, do the shared stash transfer, close D2, paste save files over again (you don't need to do copy step, just pasting on top is enough) rinse and repeat as many times you need/want. Same can be done with the gems you will need for the cubing. Enjoy.
If you want to cut down time and understand what each step is doing you can speed it up by doubling runes every other time by moving 2 runes back in inventory, saving, replacing saves in new folder, moving 2 runes back in shared stash, replacing saves again, moving 2 more, replacing saves, moving 4 from stash back in inventory, saving, copying saves, moving all 6 in shared, replacing saves and so on.... Or you can make higher rune straight away when you create 2 for cube, then making copy of it, cubing the next level, copying new rune and so on....

But if you want to check you could go in to the .ini file, which might get complicated depending on your comfortability with it. Or, an easy way would be to try to make an easy rune word (Edge or Spirit would be my vote) in an open socket (not mechanics!). If it works, you have them, if not, well your out some low level runes and you have 500 gold.
Dont expect D2 resurrected to have unlimited stash like Plugy, luckily i have been playing D2 single player without Plugy for a long time before i recently installed Plugy. So Mr Llama/ Alex you better get used to having a lot less space for your items, runes and gems etc. Anyone know if we can use Ladder only runewords and kill ubers in D2 Resurrected like Plugy?
Since people already enabled ladder only runewords and did ubers in the d2R alpha i assume its not that big of a deal to get these working... maybe even PlugY or something similiar.
I seem to have an issue with my Plugy, i open the Plugy to play, i play on it, but it doesnt save what i do, i ran act 1 on nightmare and it didnt save anything, when i saved / exit and go back in, it goes back last thing i've done on the normal game exe? Any suggestions?

when i try to set it up to play in windowed mode by putting the 1 in instead of 0, and i save the file, it tells me i do not have permission to open that folder, so i tried right clicking the plugy.ini notepad file so i could open as administrator, and the option to open as admin does not exist, its just open. how do i solve this issue?

Having to start over from scratch after almost finishing Enigma for a third time is heart breaking. Anyone know a fix...?

I installed the1.14 plugy mod. Had a stash error and would not work again, deleted and installed repeatedly but no love. This was when i tried to use shared stash. No idea what I did wrong. Probaly jave to buy a new key to get it to work. Any advice appreciated.

my 1.14D install crashes every 1-10 minutes with an unexpected error message :( tried glide and reinstall, nothing works
you can use latest plugy with 1.13 if that helps

nope. In the Plugy init file, search for ActiveLadderRunewords. change the 0 to 1.

ok why does it say make sure my disc is installed when i run d2 exe? if i run the plugy exe the game starts but i dont get any of the mods.

You can play in windowed mode by adding -w in the target section on your shortcut.

Dont use shared stash ONLY. Put something in personal stash to avoid that.

If I didn't have plugy to start, will all the items I had just auto transfer into a big stash when I move the characters from the folder? Even if I can't bring my items, I think I still have to try this out! :)
Yes you can transfer your normal chars to PlugY :)
I did and follow your step by step instructions about how to install plugy mode in my diablo 2 LOD, but apparently DID NOT turn out right, still the same, how can you help me this Mr.Llamac? Do you sill have to use BaseMod to have the game run at 60 fps. I know the game actually runs at 25 but have it at 60 makes the mouse smoother
just get the d2dx wrapper for high frame rate. game looks crazy at 144fps

What about if I want to convert from ATMA to plugy? How do I bring my .txt files over, or if I send my items to a d2 character and load it up as plugy d2 will I be able to save the items into the plugy ?

Can anyone tell me if I can install PlugY now for D2, then play later on D2R with friends? As in can I gain good loot now to use later in co-op with buddies later.
D2R will not support character saves from D2, you will need to create entirely new characters when D2R comes out.
