I just found this song like 2 days ago. This is amazing. The raw emotion captured here is beautiful. When the final chorus comes on I lose my shit. Incredible song
Normally when listening to bands unknown to me I can pick the inspiration behind their music straight away, but you guys, you picked it all, grounded it, moulded it, waxed it, buffed it, sliced it, cooked it and turned it into something very unique. Keep at it guys!!!
Is the implication that pavement is untalented? Open your ears and give it another listen. Slow mass is a different breed. A breed that seemed extinct. Original. Not much more to it. They rip
Coming back to this song after the years makes me cry. its so moody and beautiful. Mercedes' voice is so pretty. Josh the drummer is killing it with every hit of the stick, and Josh and Dave are melting my face off with the Gibsons. i love this song so much. I'm going to get off my computer and put my Treasure Pains vinyl on.
Lyrics: I'll never fall asleep what's here is ours for keeps with you I'll never know how much my fear can grow our eyes will turn and repeat my hands will fill the creek and you're here alone I'll never fall asleep and nothing's ever cheap outfitted for my needs I'll never turn my cheek our eyes are joy and peace my mind is full of deceit and you'll find me I'll never fall asleep what's here is ours for keeps with you I'll never know how much my fear can grow.
solid session! does that V4 that the les paul is running through belong to the band or the studio? just trying to figure out if the V4 is something i can take on the road or if it's fragile
+Darrien Day It's my amp. Extremely heavy, but sounds awesome. the Pros and Cons are about equal. Would rather have a lighter amp, but don't want to get rid of the v4.
Is this band from Chicago? I wanna say Evan Weiss suggested this band on an article his recommendations were featured in, but I can't remember exactly. Either way this was nuts, loved it.
Though, I totally understand your thoughts. Josh Parks has a very similar guitar style and their quiet to heavy transitions are on par with Best Witches.
@@Jackson-xq2et Yeah, that must've been what I was picking up on. At the time I made that comment, my brain hadn't made the My Dad connection. I'm surprised it took me so long to find these guys. So good.
i'm currently quitting opioids and absolutely NOTHING has helped me more than THIS VIDEO!!
This guy is sick on the drums

I only recently got into these guys... I think i'm falling in love! this song makes me a very happy Connor :)
I've lost count of how many times i've watched this
love that bass tone

yeah, well, this sounds a lot like Pavement basically
@@modestoney1577 but with high skilled musicians instead basically
@@tremolo664 hm, not sure what that means.

@@tremolo664 imagine thinking Pavement was unskilled lmao
Im sad i cant the video for the far out session. Playing in a drained pool in the middle of winter is fucking sick
Damn what rock have I been under
TheMarsilver the best rock in the world
This is fan-fuckin-tastic, my buddy showed this to me. Absolutely no regrets.
Her voice is so great - nice harmonies between singers
How does she get that bass tone? It sounds so good
I legibly have been listening to this song everyday for a month.
I'm going to do exactly the same...

that drum fill at 3:08
sweet spot right there
Cant wait to see you guys on tour with La Dispute!
damn this is dope thank you matt ferguson for showing me this song lol
This is so good it’s unreal
God damn. The Josh duo always slays together. This project and Former Thieves, and even their time in IIOI are too dang solid.
Kooky vocal harmonies to lay against this dope shoe-gazery.
this style is awesome!

What a gem
Man, I really believe this is one of my fav bands so far
drummer is so tight
YES thanks for this!
This rules.
this is so fucking good
THE DRUMER IS AWESOME! great song! great band!
an incredible band! fantastic music! please tell me what guitar tune Dave uses
This band is something else. Me gusta.
Para mi, mucho mejor que la versión en original. Por favor, subidla a SPOTIFY!!
Saw em at Wicker Park Fest last weekend and the hype is real...killer energy, slick band.
que paso con el tema dark dark energy (far out) lo dieron de baja en YT o que ? no lo encuentro
strange to see them without their winter coats. Boys and girl, dress up. It's cold in here.
This session is fucking amazing
So good.
+Puddle Splashers If they ever come to the UK I will most definitely do that.
This sooo gets me in the mood - I just wanna get up and scream and handbang all night long ! ✌🖤
Oh wow, this fucking slays
Muy buenos...
Good drumming
wonderful
Super nice song, does anyone know where I can get the lyrics? :)

Thanks so much! :)
solid session!

+Darrien Day Belongs to the guitarist. Other than that I do not know enough about those kinds of things to comment on how fragile/ not fragile it is.
Puddle Splashers okey. thanks! all y'alls vids are rad. thanks for the uploads
+Darrien Day It's my amp. Extremely heavy, but sounds awesome. the Pros and Cons are about equal. Would rather have a lighter amp, but don't want to get rid of the v4.
Dave Collis word thanks! i came into one myself recently. you got a great sound during this session!
Darrien Day i got a v4b for sale same as the one in this video from 1974

Can confirm, band is from Chicago.
yesssss
Does anyone know the chords/tabs to this on guitar?
Did u ever find them ?
@@fahad88 they play in drop-D i believe, if that helps
wow!!!
mercedes foreverrrr
is that the drummer from into it, over it?
yep.
yeah kinda.. except now he's in Minus The Bear.
anyone else think these guys sound a bit like autolux? i mean in a good way
Jesus
what tuning do you guys use?
Val Brown 10/10 tuning
I hear weezer influences
Who the fuck is this drummer?
Yehaaaa lmL
this band sounds like a Weezer that listened to Nirvana and Soundgarden instead of Van Halen and the Scorpions
Kind of a stab in the dark, but was anyone in this band in Best Witches? Google isn't working
Nope. Nobody in this video was in Best Witches.
Though, I totally understand your thoughts. Josh Parks has a very similar guitar style and their quiet to heavy transitions are on par with Best Witches.
