Really excellent casting PiG. Loved every minute of this. Thank you so much for all your hard work. Massive credit to keep up the enthusiasm and tempo despite being tired from world travel. Amazing games brought by an amazing caster
Just watched the video. Insane games played by Clem and Reynor. What a pleasure to watch and the commentary for 3 hours straight was fantastic. Thanks for your work Pig!
That first match with Clem vs Reynor is probably the greatest game I've ever seen!!! It was like a chess match watching so many moving pieces like that, absolutely incredible!
I think that the clash of styles is something not a lot of poeple appreciate, the talk is usually only who is the "best". But it seems its a bit more complicated these days. Serral seems to be able to destroy everybody but Clem , against whom he looks powerless . Clem lost recently a few games to Reynor. Reynor who while a very good player, vs other players then Clem doesnt look nearly as strong as Serral. So there is more it seems to it then who is "the best" or "the fastest"
Reminds me of a moment in an Artosis stream where his opponent dropped a goliath in the middle of his tanks, defense matrix'd it, and then mine-dragged into Arty's tanks. It was the first time I've ever seen him stop being mad to compliment his opponent.
You are spot on. At first I was wishing Showtime would press his advantage at least once, but by the end I was just thinking "you deserve to lose". You can't win if you never attach when you're ahead. Frustrating.
It's obvious who the winner was going to be from the get go. The winner is PiG. Man these guys are so good. I usually die to a single probe or marine. I'm wish I was joking. I can't click if my life depended on it. But I try anyways :/ I usually start my matches by taunting, because I know I'm gonna lose anyway lol.
I love how PiG gets obsessed with certain strategies lol. First it was “saturate the bases on their side of the map” now its “blow up their command centers” 😂
smartasses complaining that Terran needs to be nerfed just because *spoiler?* Clem 5-0 Serral in the eSports World Cup Grand Finals. meanwhile Reynor beats Clem twice (or 3x?) in a row.
To be fair, Terran does have answers to everything in the Zerg army. Ultras, corruptors, broodlords, infestors, and lurkers all get countered by ghosts. Marine, marauder, medivac counters pretty much everything else. In the first game, Clem kept expecting Reynor to move on from mutas, so kept mixing in the ghosts that are expensive but don't trade well into muta, ling, bane. He never really committed to thors or liberators, but had a couple thors with the army. He also never put up a proper turret wall before it was too late. In the second, he just wasn't expecting the drop. Reynor executed that extremely cleanly, showing the dropper lords, but having lings nearby to rush the natural while Clem was getting ready to defend, then having the 16 lings to drop into the main. Clem won games 3 and 4, then lost game 5 because no ghosts, no libs, and no thors into muta ling bane and only adding marauders after losing in economy for 10 mins, then Clem won game 6. So basically Clem went even, lost 2/5 macro games, and both of those were failing to respond to the muta ling bane play. The first game, bleeding money into ghosts so not building enough marines, turrets, or thors. The second game, only building marines and widow mines for 10 minutes into banelings. And I disagree that widow mines counter mutas. They counter inattention and lack of detection. With a single speed overseer, mutas kill individual mines without you having to pay attention. They can almost kill 2 mines at a time depending on the number with 0 input from the player. When the mutas are harrassing, the player controlling them is likely to be controlling them, so the mine won't do much in the base. Outside the base, unless the player is moving their mutas across unsecured map space where there are more than 2 mines in 1 spot, the worst they are likely to lose is 1. That said, I don't think Terran needs a huge nerf or anything massive. Maybe reduce the damage on snipe a little to 1-shot a high templar/infestor/ghost/viper, but leave corruptors, broodlords, and ultras alive with a little more health and reduce the aoe of liberators by 1 but increase the deployment range by 1. Their effective attack range would stay the same, but it would take more snipes to kill corruptors, broods and ultras would live with more hp, and liberators would be slightly less oppressive. Also, this doesn't change ghost effectiveness against protoss at all, and only slightly nerfs the liberator against them.
Hello @Pig, could you get the battle report overlay ? When you get a summary of the last fight, isolated from the rest of the game. It's so awesome. PS you're my favorite caster by far ❤
I didn't like Reynor back in the days because he was casually singing on camera, while destroying top players. It was like "humiliation" from Quake 3 😂 Sorry Reynor, I ❤ you now 😅
But it's fair when it's 19 Zerg supply for _0_ Terran supply? There's a great deal of irony in complaining about one of two burrowed-Bane-booms in a series absolutely packed with juicy Widow Mine hits. As Pig is fond of saying, _SC2_ is an asymmetric game, so balance is achieved by being equally unfair. So yes, burrowed Banes' can strike without warning, but they also have limited range and must be manually detonated. Unlike with Widow Mines (which have likely instantaneously ended far more games than any other unit), the amount of luck, attention, and APM required to land a good hit is high enough that even the best Zerg rarely bother with them and usually fail when they do. Even when the enemy actually walks over them (which they usually don't, for reasons not entirely clear to me), the Zerg has a very narrow window to select the Banes and detonate them (which they usually don't, for reasons that should be entirely clear to everyone). However, that is absolutely _not_ a suggestion that burrowed Banelings should be buffed. That would just encourage turtling.
@@gerardalfelor7990 Unfortunately, the opportunity costs of building a Raven that early in TvZ are _really_ high, and microing them with Medivacs is a royal PITA, for a number of reasons.
It would be nice if for once, Pig did not spend 90% of the time explaining how the zerg can win. There are actually some Protoss and Terran viewers too.
Clem looked actually unstoppable winning the world championship with very standard play. The real interesting story and build adjustments here are what the players like Reynor are forced to do to try and beat him. You'll notice I was incredibly Showtime focused when facing Clem because he was a HUGE underdog. I pretty much always cast with more of a focus on the player who's the underdog, behind in the game or doing a unique strategy. I'm sure there were a few games where I was too focused on those though and could have given a bit more of a top down picture of the plays both players were making
@@PiGCastswhen you see marine as large number they literally can fight any unit Zerg n protoss has, plus their ability+marauder+medivec, Clem use this army composition in every game he play, as hit n run tactic with his fast speed make it lethal to pro player with poor speed, that is why only reynor can take fight with him...can't wait to see dev make some nerf😂

1:41:55 - Reynor uses an overlord to drag widow mine shots. Not sure how well it worked, but a crazy little move when the game is chaotic
Those medivacs took some damage from the widow mine splash. Love seeing cool stuff like these

I'd say it worked pretty well!
i just wanted to go sleep....😶🌫Screw it. Just ONE MORE video! 😂
Took me two days to watch this due to work. It was worth it!
one of the best starcraft events, this series was better than ewcs. SCBoy and WTL needs some credit for keeping the scene going
PiG Casts, awesome video keep up the amazing content
Showtime had like 500 opportunities to finish the game and didnt commit one fucking time during the entire game.
How did he intent to win?
Painful match to watch
He was so scared of Clem, you can literally feel that through the screen 😂

lol I thought this was an archon mode game from the title
Reynors zvt is the best in the world. It really feels like he's the only person who can keep up with clem
It's obvious who the winner was going to be from the get go. The winner is PiG.

Did you delete the other video? Serral/ryuan/maru etc teamleague?

"only lost 3 marines for that what the hell?" Terran powerrrr
