How they managed to create such an emotionally hard hitting and impactful story out of 10 episodes in a world of cybernetics and rotten crime is beyond me. Its incredible that they made such a good romance, action, psychological and gore anime at the same time. Im addicted to this song and watching the scenes again but it makes me super sad and it ruins my perfectly fine day lol 😭🤣. Really impressed and devastated at the same time... I wish they could just give us an alternate ending to fill our empty hearts, even one where Davids body dies but becomes a cyber soul or cyber consciousness inside Lucy is fine at this point 😭😭😭😭..,.,..,,.

From the very beginning you can sense that this song is about someone and about something, but only after watching Edgerunners the music takes on its full sound and you know for who this song is for, miss you David.

This really makes the world of Night City and Cyberpunk 2077 more alive. When you see it all, you see and remember all those characters, the lives they led.
Their hopes, their dreams, you stood where they stood. You will never know of them all, and they will never know of you, but for a moment you all stood there, with similar fears, and aspirations, just someone trying to find some peace and meaning in the world.
In Night City it's largely impossible for anyone to get what they want, young die either in blaze of glory or are forgotten forever, like they never existed, the dead walls and streets will never speak of them, of those dreamers.
But whether anyone will ever know or remember, they were there, they were cyberpunks, trying to be free, to be alive and they were. More than many others.

I really appreciate the attention to detail when it came to putting the anime in game locations. It really sold the idea it's connected to the game.
Yeah it felt like i playing the game. All the sound FX , menu and if you watch the dub some voice actors reprise their role.
Edgerunners was honestly one of the best animes I've seen this year, though I don't watch anime much. The ending pissed me off though, but I knew it was gonna end like that.

@@gespenjaeger2370 V is legitimately a demi god or something. she manages to destroy saka and kill smasher while being minutes away from kicking the bucket. she also destroys the meaning of being a cyberpunk, she becomes a legend without dying. but i guess she doesn't have long to live anyway.

With this I can tell Studio trigger genuinely cared and they used actual environments from the video game and analyze them very closely so they would get them right in the show
Fun fact: Trigger asked CDProjectRED to provide them with a build of the game with a free-floating camera and the NPCs removed so they could freely explore Night City and look for locations to include in the show.

In a number of streams and interviews they've done they've talked about their use of reference (like any studio) but hearing the creative and hyper detailed descriptions of some of these really shows how much they care about making the feel of literally everything in their shows just right. It at times honestly sounds like you're hearing from KyoAni instead of Trigger in a few of these.
it also adds to the feeling of "i've been there! i know that place!" while you watch the show, it brings big immersion

Good pretty much most of crappy bugs are gone from launch and now their trying to make visually more appealing until they drop the dlc.
The anime is a separate thing from the game, being a fan of the anime isn't going to change the game or make it better, it's no different then before the anime besides the newest patch which added a few things. People are gonna start loving the game just cause of an anime based on it? makes no sense, why not love it before the anime even existed? it was the same game then lmao

I can’t wait to forget the story so I can play it again.

This game isn't an M-Word by a long shot, but I otherwise agree with your sentiment.
So sad how this game series was tainted by its release, had one of the most immersive stories and worlds I've ever played too date. If you can over look the bugs, it holds one of the best experiences in gaming.
Here's some irony for you. I had the least buggy launch experience from this game of any game in the genre, ever. Strangely, I only got my first taste of the bugs everyone else whined about when the 1.3 patch first hit. And a couple updates later, I was back to normal.
It's VTMB type of situation basically, but 2077 had bigger marketing. But sooner or later it will bounce back.
This show hit all the right emotions, they did a damn good job with edgerunners
This song brought some stuff out of me that I never really felt in a long time and even gave some flashbacks while I was watching the ending. It really made me cry like that one Italian dude who start off laughing then starts bawling his eyes while listening to this song

I also looked for her apartment and also looked at this building, but it still seems to me that she lives on one of the lower floors of the megabuilding 08, where we cannot go.

They were way closer to that bridge in the anime

Just found this video; very nice to see where Lucy had her appartment. The only thing I found peculiar was that Trigger used the fire-escape doorway near Judy's appartment as the entrance to Lucy's appartment though but I guess they just found it to be a cool backdrop for their episodes.
But yeah, it was really cool how Trigger used all these ingame locations where we can actually visit most of them. Ofcourse there were some changes (like Aldo's garage being larger in the anime) but overall it just gives you a real sense of connection between the anime series and the game itself. Then with CDPR also adding in Rebecca's shotgun and David's jacket was just the cherry on top. 🙂

After watching the show it hits different seeing the glass dome in the city center
The sound track in that show was soooo good 😃
most of the scenes have their own existing part in the Night City, this not only reduce the work of art concept but at the same time makes players have the feeling of familiarity. most of us will have the feeling of "hey, this place seems familiar! i had been here before!".
the funny thing is the entrance is Judy's apartment but the window view is a total different location

Ok so knowing the animation studio that did this, they probably had a bunch of people collect references pictures of night city in game and looked at a ton and just picked out actually locations in the game, I bet most of the scenes you can find in game

We need them to finish that damn island on the coast of NC where the corpos launch rockets from so we can get to Crystal Palace and the moon (and the city up there, Luna). Imagine finding a memento from David and/or Lucy up in space while continuing V's final heist. Man, I would actually feel super emotional, that's saying something from me.
