The fact that doubling the horsepower of the 911 turbo only made it run a half second quicker than it does stock really shows how insane Porsche performance engineering is
thats not how friction and acceleration works, please look into formula one cars and their limits to 0-60

Horsepower isn’t limited to 0-60 only. Most of it matters more after 60. It’s not about getting from 150-170 in the new power. But how much faster it takes to get to those speeds.

Much bigger engine displacement gives it an advantage even with less power. V10 💪

Sorry but you clearly know very little about drag racing...for stone chips LOL.
That's to close panel gaps and reduce wind drag (and on side vents is to drive as much as clear airflow to the intakes)

Amazing series of races. Little bit unfair though running 1200hp vs 1000. It is to be expected that the high power car wins.
There’s a lotttt more to this than power. But the turbo s in general is a weapon.
Completely agree 100% not just about power, so many varying things to consider but imo should always try and keep similar power levels for a good solid base to begin with.
