AT NOBO 2024 - Salisbury, CT (mi. 1507.5) to Stealth tent site (mi. 1523.2)

Salisbury, CT (mi. 1507.5) to Stealth tent site (mi. 1523.2) A good day today starting off with breakfast in Salisbury. We had a couple of decent climbs today that took us higher in elevation than we had been in a while, over 2,500 feet. They weren’t crazy climbs but every step up is tougher than down most often. We had nice views for most of the day, and a few rain showers didn’t hit until very late in the afternoon. We arrived at the shelter at 4:30 pm but decided to push on and found these stealth sites about 6:30 pm or so. We have about a 5 mile hike tomorrow to Great Barrington, MA, then about another 8 to a road crossing where a nearby church is throwing a huge trail magic feed until 4ish. We definitely want to hit that! It also felt pretty good to cross into Massachusetts today, not many states left 👍🏻
Todays menu: A bottle of orange juice, breakfast sandwich on a bagel, homemade blueberry crisp muffin, 28 oz. bottle of Powerade, mounds candy bar, half of an extra large Snickers bar, a few caramel creams, an apple, 2 clementines, a banana, a Cliff bar, some peanut butter granola, a MET-Rx chocolate chip cookie dough bar, and water with Liquid IV mix.
