Márquez on the other hand was a double edge sword, if manny didn’t take that fight people woulda said he was ducking because of how close the fights were. On the other hand, Manny was actually winning the fight up until that final second of round 6, broke Marquez’s nose, had him on the back foot most of the time.

Actually Mayweather said a lot of these things during his fight career. I saw a number of interviews. Random drug testing was definitely a big issue for Pacquaio. Bob Arum went as far as saying Pacquiao was afraid of giving blood. It took two years from the initial fight negotiations for Pacquaio to say that he would agree to the drug testing. There is a full breakdown in Wikipedia under Mayweather vs. Pacquaio. Mainstream media did painted a picture as if Mayweather was afraid of Pacquiao.

Love Floyd , but I don’t agree wit that duckin and dodgin thing. Pacquiao lets his promoter do the work, hence he mentions it at the end of every interview. Pacquiao didnt duck Márquez for the fourth fight, trying to silence the critics, and while winning basically got reckless and Márquez bailed himself out of getting stopped. And for ducking, although it’s not technically ducking, Floyd could’ve easily had fights with people like Cotto (2007-08), Morales or Barrera in the early 2000’s, etc but didn’t. Pacquiao and most of the guys that worked with Alex Ariza were mostly doing diuretics. They would bulk up when other fighters usually slim down, then they would use diuretics masked with other agents so that the diuretics don’t show up in urine. That’s just how they make weight as a bulked up fighter. Then the night of the fight they rehydrate to their bulk weight while the other guy is at the weight limit. Add in the fact that pacquiao weight drains the opponent, then you see the magic behind why he was blasting all these guys away
No reason to insist on OST for diuretics. The reason for OST is that Human Growth Hormone ["HGH"] is not a steroid, therefore it cannot be detected by a urine test. It can only be detected in a random blood test, which is exactly what OST involves.
