I’ve started my precious golden retriever puppy an Instagram account. I feel like it’s going well but I am noticing that Instagram caps my reels at 3k views every reel. Why is that? It’s getting hundreds of likes and views quickly but once it hits that 3k mark it immediately stops getting views and likes.
Also, why does it matter what time of day you post? Im also noticing that if I post more than one reel a day then the second one doesn’t perform at all like the first. Any insight would be soooo helpful!!! Thank you!!

Did the reel that you didn’t post on your feed end up getting similar numbers/engagement or was it significantly lower? At the moment i like to keep my reels separate but if it means they do better when added to my feed too i’ll change it in the future :)

It's still SOOOOO much lower than when I posted it to my feed. During IG Creators Week they said it's important to put your reels on as many "surfaces" as possible to get that initial exposure (so stories, feed) I think that initial reaction is how IG determines whether they're going to pick it up on the algorithm or not
