  • This animation is what it may look like when SpaceX tests their Superheavy booster on Starships first orbital flight. We follow Superheavy from high in the upper atmosphere to splash down off the coast off Boca Chica, Texas.
    Watch through to the end to see how you can get your hands on the new Artists of Spaceflight, Starship, 18 month, 2022 calendar.

    Love Booster's blister covers near the bottom over the COPVs. Looks like they're installing engine power head shrouds now too with just the engine bells sticking out in the wind. Great job on the render.

      Thanks. I wish I saw that earlier, great idea to cover up the power heads for landing.

      funny scaling on the final water splash though. 1:26 That's not how big water splashes. Kinda looks like a slow-mo vid of a kitchen-sink splash

    Blued metal is a nice touch. Can't wait to see it fly!

    Love how you plasma scared it! Most animations I've seen have it looking unscathed at all which makes this animation more realistic.

    Great video Nick! Hard to believe this monster might be re-entering and splashing down in early 2022! Hope they have the drones up 🤩

    Cool vid. And the hover, wonder how long they will hover for and translate.
    Impact with water like that could unwrap those tanks with a decent fireball.

    Looks awesome, great job! Love the covers over the equipment at the base & also the blued SS, very realistic! Will be interesting to see what Boosters & Starships look like after 30-40 launches! Hopefully like ragged old war dogs, gonna be COOL! #goelon #goapacex

    Awesome job! My only positive critique would be to ask why the water splash and some of the exhaust trails look dark grey, as if there was oil in the them? As far as I know, they should be light grey or whitish?
    Many thanks from the UK!

      The lunar Starship is a page from the calander and you can see small examples of alot of the pages at the very end.

      @@NickHenning3D I'm sorry Nick, I suffer from being incredibly dense. I went to the above link but I couldn't see any clickable links to more pictures. I added it to the cart and could see anything. Then I went out and searched for the calendar independently and still couldn't see anything.

    It's a shame Elon can't retrieve the rocket somehow. I understand it would be expensive and the engines would be beyond economical repair with the salt water damage. However, it would pay dividends for Elon's green credentials to not leave rockets stages one and two at the bottom of the ocean. Unimportant in context but still a PR win! 👍😁

    • @Elias-pz9tp
      @Elias-pz9tp 2 года назад +1

      They're not gonna get left on the bottom of the ocean, the boosters will be retrived for the first orbital launch and then the boosters will be caught by their "MechaZilla" which will make them 100% reusable
