Some MDF stuff is just great- and warcradle seems to have some particularly good looking options. *but* I'll tell you what - as far as MDF goes, there is just something about building a boat out of MDF that is just really, really satisfying. I'd suggest to just about anybody into fantasy or historical to try one. (Sarissa has a good little Roman trade ship that would be suitable for just about anything.)
Mate, I fucking love videos like this I love seeing more about the hobby background. I think a lot of people don’t understand the manufacturing process, just because they’re not exposed to it, so seeing stuff like this is great
The inclusion of Hector in this video really helps to ground it in reality; plus, he looks great in his RAF Jumper. Tony makes every ad read a pleasurable experience. 10:49 Wow! That shot is so cool; like it should be a Dalek Control Room, or part the titles to Bond Film. I wonder how Dave managed that finial "5-fingered Discount" over-head tracking shot. The cinematography, sound, presentation and everything on this channel is amazing. Oh, yeah, and there are some cool models too,.
Seriously mate, I can’t understand why you’re not getting the thumbs up you deserve. You are one of my fav Channels to watch, and you’re content is awesome.
Great video Dave :) informative and funny as hell :) might be the first video where the sponsorship is as fun or maybe funnier than the main content - brutal! Long live the Warhammer! 🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙
@@MSPaints vibe was pretty much perfect, making my decision to become a patreon supporter looking like a good decision ;) love how you give us insights to the smaller manufacturers and got a lot of time for Wayland games ever since finding them about 10 years ago, their customer support is top notch. keep it up Dave, SF, Tony D and all at MS Paints.
That was surprising interesting, never really thought about how this stuff is made. Also, the bit about a toilet that flushes, literally made me spit beer all over my laptop. Looking forward to the other videos
That intro, all I could think of was Supermarket Sweep! Now I want a hobby version where you have to do that and then build a board from whatever you can grab in 30/60/whatever seconds.
And a toilet that flushes!! Well bugher me the next time the Mrs clogs the sh*ter I know where I'm going 🤣🤣 But seriously great content as usual and maybe one of these days I'll summon the courage and pick up a brush and tackle the 4500 points of unpainted Death Guard I've been staring at for the last 9 months 😂
Warcradle are only two people? Madness. Or is it their very strict hiring policy prohibiting them from taking on anyone else unless they fit that very narrow naming convention?
@@MSPaints Had to do a spit take when I heard, "...a toilet the flushes". I've been in one too many "friendly local game stores" without a properly functioning toilet.

Thanks for the tip man, I’ll look into it. Never tackled any kind of boat thing before. And mdf seems like a fun challenge.

Aye! Always fun to take a peek behind the curtain. I think a lot of people don’t ever think about this kinda thing
Tony going full Telly Savalas was delightfully unexpected. 😂
Surprised no one has mentioned this, but that advert was gold.
Loving all of these "inside the hobby" vids.
Thanks! I’m enjoying making them!
They'd probably be more efficient if they weren't moving in slow mo. Also, the training to move in slow mo has definitely got to be expensive!
They hired Tyler specifically for his mad slow mo skills!

Thanks for the kind words as always mate! Happy to know you’re watching
@@MSPaints I come for Hector; I stay for Tony 😄😄😄
I just got a job at a makers space with a laser cutter so I'm going back to all your Inside Hobby vids and see what i can learn!
I typed this comment in slow motion to provide expert quality control. Great video I enjoy these behind the scenes stuff
I never cease to be amazed at the production quality of your videos.
And the entertainment value.
That Wayland promo song was so catchy! It should be put on the radio!
As a huge fan of Warcradle's scenics, this is fascinating and I tip my hat to Taylor and Tyler's hard work
You cant fool my ears! casual tombraider enjoyer.

Really enjoy your filming style! Super informative, great humor, snappy transitions; Top Shelf!
Another excellent BTS view. So great, to get to see what really goes into all this stuff we do. Excellent video
Looks awesome. Easy terrain is a win in my book. And it was great to see how it all gets done. Feels like you were BUILDING up to something soon...
I've got a few of the Warcradle Scenics kits, and they are excellent. Cool to swee how they;re made and the people behind it all.
Aye! Lovely and welcoming team!
I love these behind the scenes videos, can't wait for the other ones!
i fuckin love the tony bits. that octopus line cracked me up as much as the "im gettin the paint offa dees warhammers" from the stripping video
I'm loving these behind the scenes short films your doing lately mate. Can't wait to see the others you've got in store for us.
Hohooooo plenty more!
these behind the scenes videos are great! Really appreciate the insight on how the industry works
This is both enjoyable AND instructive!

We had a blast making it! Was a rush job but we got the vibe about as perfect as we could

These production and manufacturing videos are so well done! Really enjoying them!
Absolutely love these behind the scenes kinda videos!
Excellent work as always dude! 😁❤️👍🏻
Tony's bits get me everytime, lol
Loving your videos man and these behind the scenes really show how the hobby comes to life
Thanks Paul! Is what it is, I’m growing slow and steady and that works for me
Nice chill comfy video

These 'behind the scene' videos are great fella!
Awesome video 🐸

I kinda wanna see him sent to Australia, to do that with Brutal Cities...
As a giant octopus I've never felt more attacked or unwelcome. Good day sir.
Perpetual Forward Motion, that should be on t shirt
I'm just in shock that Tony is friends with Karen 😲😲. Loved the video dude
Fab, fun, and inFormative 🙂🐸🔨
I wish i could find their products. Non of the hobby shops where i am at carry their stuff or heard of em. Best western minis and terrain in the biz.

Well sometimes when and MD and a DF love each other really much...
They make a MF.
Love the vid
Does Warcradle have their own channel? Would definitely subscribe.
I've had some issues in the past with the parts not being cut all the way. I must have gotten a pack of older stuff or something.
More please
I need to go to wayland, I often find myself unable to do a warhammer 😢
What kinda other hammers you like?
that's the best shitty ad jingle i've ever heard, you've really outdone yourself this time.
Just dropped the 1000th like :)
4:30 😂👌❤
Aye, delicious, haha
What a great sponsored segment 😂
Cheers!

Brb, changing my name to Teller...
🎵 AT WAYLAND
WAYLAND 🎵
Painfully infectious. Think i've heard it being sung by someone in the building at least once a day.

Shame they can't fit the giant octopus in, I hear he's a Kraken bloke... I'll get my coat.
There's something very... tomby... about that music near the end...
Haha! Not as niche as I’d normally go but I’ve had the tunes on loop all week
I was all about to that Wayland Games ad, but then they got all anti-octopus and it made me just throw all 8 of my hands up in disgust.
Tony needs to work on his inclusivity I think
Release the asmr cut
But I'm all outta bubblegum!
Sweet video. The slow mo was disturbingly errotic
It must be difficult for Health and Safety Frog to divide his time between his two jobs
✌️💚
Too bad the name "The Slo Mo Guys" is allready taken
