- Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PMCC) can be easily evaluated on many scientific calculators but in this video I show you the formula in case this function is not available. The coefficient is given by the letter r and represents the strength of fit of a set of observations on a scatter diagram to a straight line.

THE BEST THANK YOU: www.examsoluti...
honestly, I have tried private tutors, school tuitions, extra classes and none of that helped until when I watched this video. You are absolutely amazing and my entire batch is very grateful for you. The world needs more people like you! Please keep doing what you do.
Thank you
I can't love you less. U saved my career. I'm very grateful 🥰
@@ObeyGoodness_20 Just fyi, "I can't love you LESS" means that you love them so little that it's impossible to love them any less than you already do. I think you meant, "I can't love you MORE"...? :-)
This is not generally requested and so it has been left out so far in my videos but I understand your point. A video on this will take me as always approx 3-4 hours to develop, produce and upload. If you wish to make a donation of £30 at least then I am happy to do this for you. Sorry to make a charge but I hope you understand.
Crazy how 6 years after this was uploaded it still helps out people! Thank you so much!
Thanks and thanks for watching.
Also 10 years later😅

Watching this for one of my classes and I have to say that your video was simple, to the point and easy to understand. Thank you so much!
I actually have to use Pearson's product moment correlation for my thesis, so this has provided some pretty useful information. Thank you so much for putting this up!
yeah me too :D
Thank you for your explanation. This has helped me tremendously!
You're welcome. Thanks for your comment.

I'm doing this for Psychology 2nd year of my degree, I haven't done maths at A level but thank you this was understandable even though I had to stop and pause soo many times because I'm not great at math
Yep
Sorry but I don't have a video on this. I must say I have never heard of the coefficient of determination r^2. Perhaps someone else reading this may have an idea?
I think you are very helpful with all your videos, thankyou so much for you help. I have my exam on tuesday and I hope it will goes well.

Thank you for uploading the video. Very clear lecture. 👌👌👌🙏🙏🙏 Namaste from India 🇮🇳
Best wishes from the UK.
@Hasithalive Thanks - take care
Why can’t I understand this!! LooooL never mind I just noticed I forgot to put the root. I can’t believe myself 😅😅😅 it took two days and this video to notice my mistake. Thank you sir
Thank you! Since this is a sample correlation, shouldn't we divide by n -1 and not N (which would be for population)?
The increase in the observed grades in math are related in the increase of the observed grades of physics? (which would make total sense) .95
God bless you ! this is just so helpful ! i LOVE you !
Thanks cause the equation I was on my "Mathematical Studies SL Information Booklet," the equation looked different than the one shown on here
I did a similar problem and I got it! thank you!!! im subscribing :)

I'm doing this at AS level!
im still confused why we use that equation. what is the equation actually doing and why does it work
Thank you:)
Do we need to bother with formulas if we can do it on the casio calculator?
Thank you for sharing this, so comprehensible and smartly explained that even like me who has allergy with numbers can understand it, lol😂
This was really helpful and fun. Thank you very much.
I am pleased to hear it helped. Not sure about the fun part though.

@katyshardssx Thanks. Pleased to hear that.
Thanks
Good
Are the formulae for r, Sxy, Sxx and Syy given in the formula book for the Edexcel exam board
So so so hepfullll
sir , my formula is different from yours i multiplied (n) with xy and and other figure, and you have divided it but in the end the answer is same is it alright ?
sick me why all squared. thanks a lot for the good explanation :)
Thankyou, you have helped so much!
Cool
nice presentation easy to follow, should there of been a plot at x10,y9?
+Josh Peacock Thanks, and yes well spotted. Does not alter the answer though.
is this the same thing as the Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient? I need to know for my IB Math Studies IA cause Chi Square is not going to work with my data.
what does the s at the start stand for?
What would r equal if there was a perfect (or near-perfect) straight horizontal line? thanks :)
On a calculator:
MODE - STAT - A+BX
ENTER VALUES
AC-SHIFT - REG - R
sorted ;)
Are you a chess international master who used to make chess videos under ,the name (king crusher )? Your voice sounds smaller his voice .
