Wow. I just went to this website. And they have the bare shell of all of the current husky toolbox models. Just without the badging. That’s crazy that husky buys their boxes from someone else puts a badge on them and marks up the price probably. I’m waiting to hear back from them about parts for my specific box set up. I’ll update as follows.
Thanks for sharing this. I can imagine quite a few toolboxes are thrown away instead of fixed. Good that the manufacturer at least provide spare parts. Those sliders are usually all from a few select factories, so by some google investigation it's sometimes possible to find them even for cheaper stuff that doesn't provide spare part availability.
Came here for the slides part and bookmarked the vice part! Great video. Any other tips on the unit? Looking at 2 that are used for $400 total. Maybe it's worth is even if repairs come up in the future?
@etischer I encountered the same problem with my Newer Age Project center drawer, however my problem was when reinstalling the drawers after initial assembly and those sliders on yours look identical to mine. I guess my error was going from top to bottom to begin with. I currently have a dremel, can I get away with using that with the same type of attachment! I will get the Milwaukee rivet gun to add to my M12 Impact gun, Hammer drill collection! I was told to go with the Milwaukee instead of the dewalt when I went in for the impact gun!
Thank you! Are the rivets all same length? Replacing my rivets in my husky workbench as well. so do you use 3/16 or 5/32's? and they are 1/16-1/8 in long ? Thank you
Mine just keep sliding out and I haven’t looked closely at the root cause of it but I took them out. I like to start things and then forget to finish them
It's a good box, but I do have a second drawer slide that's starting to stick and needs to be replaced. The lock mechanism doesn't work. But I'm still happy with the box overall, it gets daily use. It's deeper than the other boxes which is great, it offers so much more drawer real estate.
I don't have a part number, but I have my case number, maybe they can look it up that way? If you get a part number, please add it in a comment for others! Case: 30845782 Husky - Workbench Tool Chest - Broken Sliders [ ref:_00D50JUFY._5001T1mMfRA:ref ] Sure, the slides are $40 for the set. The locking mechanism and the vise mount you show at the end, are truly the hidden Crackerjack Prize in this video. Thanks!!

Glad I found this! I need to replace all my slides on my 50 year old snap on roll cart!

Nice. Sliced my finger up real good when my drawer broke
Great video. Question, why get the same slides if the original showed not to be heavy duty? Why not upgrade to better ones?

Thank you for this. Can you not just replace the original rivets with screws for ease of replacement if they break again?
There's no easy way to put a nut on the back side to attach a screw. You really need to use blind rivets.
@@etischer maybe self tapping screws?
Self tapping screws would likely tear out
That was amazing, I'm glad I watched your video first.
Good job, Bro.

I'll take one custom drawer locking bar. Thank you.
Thnx for the video I have to make the same repair on my toolbox. I also have an excuse to buy some more tools lol.
Good video!
Is there a technician in Miami, FL
Excellent video, thank you!
I have a drawer bent too thank you i am going to call and get my drawer fix.
Great video! Thanks for sharing
My drawers keep sliding out. Is that why you did this? Or was there too much play in them cause of overweight?
All the bearings fell out, and the drawer slide separated into two pieces.
Mine just keep sliding out and I haven’t looked closely at the root cause of it but I took them out. I like to start things and then forget to finish them

Did your box not come with the liners? I have the same box and I've been looking for the liners for a while now.

Did you call Geelong Manufacturing. My tool box was 2-3 years old and they sent me a free drawer glide.
