Like I've said many times Marta, your understanding of what this music is about is quite remarkable. So many have missed the nuances you bring. It's a bit like going out in a racing yacht.... You realise there's a whole bunch of sails in the hold and they are all to be used. Many times lesser sailors only use the mainsail and so the vessel just gets along. When you use the full rig, the wind's in your face and you win every time. A bit of a long-winded comparison, but you get my drift! x
I think, you are right: Marta Czech doesn't follow the modern pianistic principle "fast, hard and "knallig". Obwohl viele modernen Instrumente ( Steinway, Yamaha, Fazioli ) diese Spiel-Auffassung nahelegen - schlimme Beispiele dafür konnte man bei den drei letzten Chopin-Wettbewerben in Warschau hören. Es geht aber auch anders: wie z.B. hier bei Marta Czech: den modernen Instrumenten sozusagen die "lyrischen Poren" ( Brendel) öffnen und so das knallige Gehacke vermeiden - Sorry, that I can it express only in the german language. thobo
