brilliant. need more of these style videos. this is my favorite type of thing on youtube. you rule i didnt follow it exactly, but your genius tips and insight got me a unique experimental sax patch i am very proud of. excellent work
Great video!! Just got hydrasynth desktop. So I have digged in much yet but, from videos like this really shows you can create anything in this synth. Very flexible in many of my sound design adventures I start out creating a specific sound and end up with something like the sound I want but a new sound.
I laughed at 1:40 when you got scared of the sax sample *Meeeeep* "Wtf that's so loud!" 😂 Great patch! Maybe it could be a little less harsh (less too end and less noise modulation / distortion) I made a Bari Sax patch simply with FM modulation. I can't remember the waveform as the base though. When I am home again, I'll share the patch details :)
Tried to follow along but got lost at around 3:15 because you were going pretty fast and covering up what buttons you were pushing. It might help in this type of video, at the end, to recap each Osc, Mutant, and Filter setting, etc. This is the kind of video I'm looking for to recreate all kinds of different instrument sounds, so keep up the good work!
damn, to me.. that was pretty accurate, and then adding the formant filter turned it into a really novel sound that I would appreciate hearing in some type of IDM / DnB tune if used appropriately. @Looma, have you ever considered making and selling your own hydrasynth sound bank? Since I literally don't have the time to tinker around like you do, I'd definitely buy it to fund your efforts!

I love this video it did seem like it was about to sound exactly like a sax and then it turns into a saxgeridoo
Subbed!! Ty for sharing your method.
It's incredibly saxy, great job!!!
1:40 RIP HeadPhones users
It's certainly sax-ish? My Hydrasynth is supposed to arrive in a few days
great tutorial! thanks!
Yayy hydra team here, can you please share this patch? Would love to jam a bit
I might release a bunch of my presets at some point. I want to create at least a few more before I do so though.
Bro made a sax and a didgeridoo
