- The Greg Kihn Band was a rock band formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1970s. The band's frontman, Greg Kihn, was a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who had been active on the local music scene for several years before forming the band.
The Greg Kihn Band's sound was a blend of classic rock, power pop, and new wave influences. They had several hits in the early 1980s, including "The Breakup Song (They Don't Write 'Em)", "Jeopardy", and "Lucky". "Jeopardy" was their biggest hit, reaching #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1983.
In addition to his musical career, Kihn also wrote several novels, including "Horror Show" and "Rubber Soul". He later transitioned into a career as a radio DJ and host of a nationally syndicated radio show called "The Greg Kihn Show".
The Greg Kihn Band disbanded in the late 1980s, but Kihn continued to perform and record music as a solo artist. He remains a respected figure in the Bay Area music scene and continues to tour and release new music.
