[REPAINT] MiWay - City Centre Transit Terminal (Orion VII "3G" 1004)

- Spotted a freshly repainted 1004 on a chilly March morning... the first of many MiWay express Orions to be repainted!
1004 is part of a 20 BRT bus order awarded to Orion Bus Industries (OBI) by MiWay in 2009 for their Orion VII 07.501 (VII) EPA10 model with BRT roof-streamlining. These units are painted in the blue MiExpress livery, but are in the process of getting repainted orange for brand consistency amongst the fleet.
This was recorded on March 21, 2024 on an iPhone 15 Pro.

I can see why, personally I love the BRT streamlining on the express Orions!

Loving these repaints! Hopefully the 13xx don't get repainted... I like their blue!
1004 for sure does look smart in orange and its BRT streamlining!
With this particular unit repainted, I'm sure they're going to repaint the 2013 and 2014 XD40s eventually as well. MiWay does not want to distinguish its buses based on the route it runs anymore, hence why the 18-month transition period to a homogenous, orange-livery fleet. Unless you're referring to the 2012 Orion VIIs, it'd likely be no surprise that they're going to receive this treatment too, they still have a few years left in them as they're newer than the 2010s. I find it weird that the 2010 Orion VIIs are receiving this treatment as well, given they have a year or two left on Mississauga's roads (iirc MiWay has a 15-16 year service life for rigid buses).
