I've been following these guys since the album "Scream, Aim, Fire." I know everyone wants the sound that they produced from their first two albums. The problem with that is if they continuously produce the same sound, you guys will roast them for making every song sound the same. I personally hated the album, "Temper, Temper." However, I respected them for making that album because it was different and wasn't the same old, same old. These guys are artists and write about what is stewing them now versus what was stewing them back in 2005 when "The poison" was released. Think about it, that was 12 years ago. Their problems now are so much different than they used to be. My favorite band is The Devil Wears Prada and so many people roasted their latest album, but I loved the new album because I saw them evolve from pointless screaming and edgy lyrics into art. That is why I loved the album "V" because it was fucking art. Music is art and the artist isn't expecting everyone to like every song they produce.

@Eddie The Head what I said in response to Stephen was more about how unintelligent his reply was rather than the time it took to respond. With that said, if it takes someone 2 years to reply to something that was discussed when it was "new" then it is no longer relevant. Then the only comment is "leave." Not necessarily an argument of good faith or any argument at all.
Being a fan of Bring Me The Horizon, who had so fundamentally changed their sound for Amo, watching people just complain everywhere, "deathcore is dead, so BMTH is dead too" drove me nuts. Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of Amo myself (half the album has since started to appeal to me over time), but look at their new album and how they've evolved since.
Artists need to experiment to break new grounds, or stay stale. Either way, people still bitch about everything and it's super annoying.

Not a bad song, but personally i would like to hear more of jamies' screams, they're incredible. It isn't the bullet that we know with a bit harder riffs and a melody that stays in our heads. Further i miss a guitar Solo, hopefully padge shows us some in the new Album. Still can't wait to hear the entire album.

I caught papa roaches new song today - its worth a look just to be reminded how special those times were compared to now. I see, but ... well for me the evolution of BFMV is not useful, I like and I prefer the old music, the old style, after I understand that they want to surely change and that the fans too but I prefer the old style or the new style rather version Don't need you ^^

Bullet For My Valentine... All I got to say.. They're amazing!!!! They were supposed to perform at rock on the range and I was so excited for there performance, we they wasn't able to perform because there was lightning near us, so the workers had to clear us out when another band Black Veil Brides was getting ready to play there last song for the day called In The End. After bvb was done bfmv was next, they didn't get to play because we had to get out of the stadium. I was really really mad. At the time bvb was playing me and my uncle and his friend went to go meet Asking Alexandria and New Year's Day, so we didn't get to meet them either. Asking is one of the band's I really wanted to see. I met Ash from New year's not to long before Rock On The Range, by it would have been nice to meet all of the band

He has a good enough voice he doesn't have to scream. He puts it in good places but doesn't use it as a crutch because damn this is one of the most distinct voices out there right now. I like listening to BFMV at work but the coworkers aren't into heavier stuff, so at least Ican place music like this in more public areas too. They're still great just different

I'm a huge bfmv fan, and I think this song is cool! I know its not 100% their style, its brand new, but it sounds good and its fun to listen to different styles sometimes, it kinda reminds me a music made in the past (kinda early 2000's?) maybe now sounds weird, but if you adapt then it will be great, actually its pretty catchy to me! in the 1:38 you realize this is bfmv! they put their "trademark" in this. I want to hear the full album!!!

Spencer Bandley I know bands are supposed to evolve, but problem is that they almost degraded qualitywise for each and every album.
BFMV was never a band who pushed their barriers too much, but holy shit have their sound gone totally bland and lack creativity.
You can't expect us to "not listen to it cus this is their new shit and new era bla bla bla" - I was actually hoping for something not as fucking boring as their last 2-3 albums, but seems they're in that "era" to stay. It sucks, but it just seems like they've lost the spark, but hey I quite frankly do not remember many band in this genre evolving and becoming better for every album.

Iglooo 2004 i disagree. In 2005 they used to put more screams, at least a guitar solo and heavy rythms. This new single sounds like a generic radio Rock song. However, maybe they are saving the best for when the album drops so we'll see

They said that they're gonna be more simple now, and are gonna use more electronic sounds and be more experimental in the interview on BBC Radio 1 earlier.
Gabe Goings Simple means a focus on good sound rather than a focus on technical detail. Basically it would mean more awesome riffs and less complex arrangements which in turn would probably make live a hell of a loy easier.

I love this fucking album, to all the people bagging it you aren't true BFMV fans, alot of bands evolve and change the direction they go in it doesn't mean they have forgotten the old stuff. As Matt Tuck said he has been going through some personal stuff and he wanted to do this album to get some things of his chest. He also said that he is very thankful that the other band members let him do this. OMG he is ony human and he does have problems like the rest of us for fuck sake. I am very grateful that he made this album as it relates to alot of things i am going through just like everyone else in the fucked up world.

I still listen to bullet here and then because I discovered them when I was 15 but God can they ever sing about anything not relationship/break up related? These sort of lyric themes are the only thing that puts me off metalcore. Hope the rest will be better.
Maxie Beast listen to parkway drive, trivium and architects they have a lot better lyrical content.

Maxie Beast and btw also check out sylosis and erra two of my favourite bands. These 2 bands are talented af, Josh middleton( guitarist of sylosis and architects ) is an absolute god when it comes to the riffs.
