About me…. I’m normally hitting the parks or the beach with one of the many detectors I use for metal detecting the beach and fields. Metal Detecting can be fun and at the same time a nightmare due to the way the beach is always shifting, but if you hit it on a good day... BOOM! could be GOLD could be SILVER! Incredible. You can use these videos as a kind of online education but they’re really not! Oh and make sure you’re detecting is legal.

Metal Detecting is a good way of chilling out, its a good bit of therapy, fresh air, long walks. Its also a bit like those unboxing videos you see on youtube because even though you have an idea of what's buried below your feel you're never really sure. I've been Detecting with Deep Digger Dan during his digging the coast 365, that was fun. I used his XP Deus... Very light. I started out using the Garrett Ace 250 and then added a Nel Tornado coil. After that I started using a Nokta Makro Kruzer and some how managed to find so much more on land I thought had been detected to death. Silver coins, WWII badges and bullets and down the beach I've even found GOLD and Silver Rings. In one of my videos I've finally found a Roman Coin and A Saxon Strap End. Subscribe to continue watching and see where this adventure leads me next.

I have made a sand scoop from stench pipe and I used a wall mounted flag bracket and it seems to work quite well but it is plastic

You can use some kind of aluminum on the edge

Thanks for testing it out shame it cracked but it gives me some feedback and I will take your advice and see about modifying it and I’ll increase the density too, make it stronger

Just a idea at the front of the scoop could you make a slide bit witch could be replaced when worn out and you don't waer down the scope its self just a idea look good tho well done

Great idea with the scoop buddy. Perhaps you could add a steel or aluminium plate to the front bit to help it from chipping as well. Good luck.

The scoop looked good but as you said the collar needs to be longer, I'd put a small slit in the support and thread a jubilee clip through to strengthen it or if he made it longer could also do that to strengthen it, working good till then 👍

a gallant attempt by the the 3D scoop and I'm sure with some modifying it could be just the ticket for dry sand 👍
but at the end of the day, NOTHING beats the Bat-scoop 😁👍

I’ve a stainless steel round sand scoop, I think it’s called the Evolution 360. It’s the toughest scoop I’ve held and used. It’s also great at fending off rowdy scumbags you sometimes get on a beach who think it’s cool to try a rob you of your findings.
    Great video as always sir!
    Stay well and be lucky🤞🏻🍻

Fancy finding a crutch lying about in your shed! I tried using a cheap aluminium pet litter scoop, it was OK on dry sand but eventually gave way in the deep wet stuff.

Thank you for the LP discount code! Just ordered my new ML-85’s! Any chance on your next video you could explain beech hunting from a legal standpoint? ie: permits, permissions, Crown owned land? Newbie here and I’d be very interested. Excellent channel!!

looks to be made out of PLA which is a bad choice for a scoop as it wont last long at all, be sure to keep it somewhere cool when storing as PLA will melt in a hot shed

You shouldn't be using a sand scoop on shingle 🤔
