Hey, ex, gotta say you are such an underrated reviewer. You review the things we're gonna buy from a perspective that a lot of people aren't doing like normal reviewers. You're reviewing the items like you're using them not like you're trying to sell them to us? So thank you for that and I hope your channel blows up like crazy. Because we need you influencing the market. Not these other guys that are literally just trying to sell stuff.
The black one is 6061 aircraft grade aluminum and the "original" colored one you have is 7075 aluminum. It's supposed to be a tougher composition of aluminum. That's literally it. No huge difference when it comes down to it. The Fenix PD25R runs off of a 16340 battery as well. Not an 18340. Kick ass review! Keeping it real and I love that! My kinda style.
Thanks for the review. I like the finger ring attachment, something that wish would become more popular with EDC flashlights, and Wuben has some neat flashlights, but I think I'll stick with my Fenix LD30, maybe not exactly the same category as this one, but easily the best all round EDC flashlight I have ever owned.
Me too, I don't want to give up the pocket space. I actually carry the Olight Imini2 and a Rovyvon A3. Both small. The Olight being easily removable is huge, and the Rovy is ridiculous for a small light. I'm very satisfied with this combo
I think I like the Thrunite T1S V2 better. It's their Olight Baton 3 clone, but has a USB-C port for recharging and uses non-proprietary batteries. It's also less expensive.
Can’t you use the finger ring as a pocket clip? Obviously it’s gonna kind of stick way off, but you could move it off to the side. Obviously not everyone’s gonna use the tactical ring but if you happen to be using it anyways, that could maybe work to clip it onto stuff.
Osram leds are decent. The leds are on the cooler side of the light spectrum. 5000k being neutral, 6500k is cooler and 4500k is warmer. I prefer warmer colours and higher cri for better colour rendering. The ui on that lockout mode is no gokd. Typically lights sometimes feature a "moonlight" access while in lock out mode for temporary use. Imo a light should just stay off in lockout mode. The eswitches in these light tend to have a parasitic drain on the batteries. The pocket clips are not good and not made of quality in general on most flashlights. The best clips use torx screws or equivalent mounting like found on malkoff devices lights.
As someone who has tested quite a few flashlights' ability to break thick glass bottles, I have serious doubts about the T4 actually being useful in this regard. When you're seated inside a car and swinging sideways, even gnarly-looking stainless steel bezels can struggle. Aluminium deforms sometimes without even leaving visible damages on glass bottles. I mentioned bezel cuz that's how the operator in their marketing slide uses it against glass. Let's talk about the spike then. You know for sure that the ring will flex during impact. It will be much less effective than if the spike was inlaid into a metal component. It's likely for the thread to get so damaged that the spike just won't fit anymore, or that the spike gets pushed deep into the softer material. Plus, there is no way you can hold it to have enough clearance to pull away upon impact. If you somehow manage to shatter the window, you will 100% get hurt if you didn't wear gloves. Compare that to, say, a Nextorch TA30C. You have ~45mm clearance if your middle finger is through the ring. Ring-mounted spike is also a bad idea in that it will damage anything it brushes against. Your clothes, upholstery, someone's skin or car (avoidable legal issues, especially when you consider how some people just easily bleed). It also makes the light look much more like it doubles as a weapon (illegal in many countries) rather than as an emergency safety tool. I've travelled internationally without issues with the TA30C but I would completely understand if the T4 gets confiscated. I don't plan to buy the T4 because of poor mode spacing and seeing no reason in 18350 lights in general, so I definitely won't be testing it. But I'll say this: always test your tools and never just take a company's word for it, idc if it's reputable. Many emergency gadgets fail to do the one thing they're designed to do.
6500k. Either you knew what I meant, genuinely confused or a RUclips correctional officer. If it's the first or last, pound Sand. If it's confusion... It happens sometimes
Well, I for one am seriously disappointed. You're a Marine, right? And yet not one carrier, pouch, leather tray, whatever, out of you for carrying crayolas... Ever! Wtf?! *USArmyvetsmirk😏

Thanks much!
I agree! ♥️

thank you for the strobe warning X. Good looking out.
You bet
Great review, I agree with a previous comment, you are very under rated. Keep up the good work
Thanks, will do!
Great review! Subscribed.
The burnt-bronze is 7075 a much harder aluminum over the softer 6061 black version, and the cool factor to boot!
Thank you Uncle X!
Interesting flash light. I personally just rock key chain flash lights 😎

I’m looking forward to the review on the EDC E3 by Wuben. I didn’t catch it on kickstarter. 3:10
They have the worst clips..I didn’t get this one..great vid, Thank you for sharing
Broooo did you just heart that comment? 😂
Lolol

I think it would be too bulky

Yep, Malkoff clips 👌 are quality
Hi! Supported Tyhrm clip instead?
Wuben does experiment with different ideas which i like. I have the x 0 and the tp10 penlight.
totally agree

Yeah I wouldn't put that in the marketing material. As for a fist fight, it will be powerful
X said doody 🤭
Definitely more for the tactical bros
Спасибо за обзор! 👍 Теперь я знаю что у этого фонаря плохая клипса, но это не мешает мне приобрести его. Фонврь 👍🔥.
Nice. Good price.
I think the cerakote makes it more expensive than the black
The pocket clip position not deep enough for me.
Go do beam shots. Watch the wuben put the smack down on thar turd olight and junk fenix.
650 Kelvin eh?

Enjoyed the review. But, I’ll pass. Too tactical looking for my taste.
I totally feel you
The tactical ring is garbage...I watched a review and it broke pretty easily while the reviewer punched some stuff
