Some say a chapter a day keeps the devil away. I say a chapter a day keeps you aligned with God’s way.
Today we read Matthew 16 and explored the yeast of the Pharisees, Jesus building his church, and Jesus' rebuke of Peter as the crucifixion approaches.
A lot of people try to read the entire Bible in a year. I believe everyone should read the Bible at least once from cover-to-cover, but reading the entire thing in a year is a lot. That’s about 3 chapters a day. My first full reading took me 6 months, but there is a HUGE difference between just READING the Bible and STUDYING the Bible.
Your eyes just glancing over the words and your mouth mumbling hard-to-pronounce names won’t give you the deeper wisdom and codes in the text. So I want to take it slower and study 1 chapter of the 260 chapters New Testament with you every weekday at 8am est on RUclips.
There are exactly 260 weekdays in a year. How divine is that? I already study the Bible daily. I’m just inviting you into my practice because I know how powerful starting your day with scripture can be.
