One way for beginners to start might be to do the exercise with just the root; once that's down add the fifth. Once that's down add the 3rd. Thanks for the lesson!
Your animations are great, and together with the commentary, they make it super easy to remember the material and understand the theory (after all, most of us are visual learners!). I'm a huge fan of yours. Thank you so much for your valuable videos and for sharing priceless knowledge with us in such a simple way! 👍👍👍
That’s what I’m talking about!!! Thank you thank you thank you! Finally someone does a diagram that’s simple to understand! Please continue your lessons with this approach.
Been watching RUclips guitar videos for over a decade and I’ve never seen you before. These visualizations are fantastic. Can’t wait to dive into more of your vids. Thank you for your service!
Pow! As a teacher with a learning addiction, I just want to commend you on your lessons. They demonstrate a very effective approach to learning, and one imagines that the strategy used in creating them (content presentation, format, visuals, repetition) would translate across multiple subject matters. Well done.
This may very well be one of the most informative videos on RUclips for furthering knowledge of the fretboard. Thank you so much for providing this content to us all. It is a blessing.
Best guitar channel on RUclips. Your triad lesson on Hey Joe was amazing - the triad runs you do in that video, I still sometimes click on it just to listen to that alone. Going to be subscribing to Patreon within the next few weeks.
This is exactly what I needed! Would love to see what the next level for triads would be? Would you consider doing something similar for Arpeggios? I know these videos must take a long time to edit so I really appreciate it!
Thanks brother, its a good lesson 4 me, ❤❤❤❤❤ i need this tipe of lesson, like scale, run, rpgo, etc, have a good day bro, i m 4rm Bangladesh, little country...
yeah kinda crazy i’m watching this while taking a shit meanwhile years ago u had to go to a library pay for lessons or jus like go thru so much effort to learn the instrument
There’re 12 major chords and 12 minor chords, but some of them can have two different names - for instance D# minor (D# F# A#) can also be called Eb minor (Eb Gb Bb) .. These are the same pitches, but spelled differently.

Finally, when someone mentions 'triads' triads make sense to me.
4 triad types (Maj-min-aug-dim) X 3 inversions X 4 sets of strings = 48 chord shapes.

How can one become a patrons with a busy schedule
Hiw do we remember all thoses triads in 12keys?
cool lesson, loud metronome
Please can we also improvise G triad on D?
Absolutely! The intervals in that context would be 1-3-5 for the D triad, and 4-6-1 from the G, so 1-3-4-5-6 - similar to major pentatonic sound!
That thumbnail though 😂😂😂
Wow.
Do you have anything on Rhythm?
For sure! Check out my lessons with Carter Arrington on rhythm and my strumming workout videos
How many keys are there?
There’re 12 major chords and 12 minor chords, but some of them can have two different names - for instance D# minor (D# F# A#) can also be called Eb minor (Eb Gb Bb) .. These are the same pitches, but spelled differently.

What is a Triad?
the most basic chord - contains a root note, a third (major or minor) and a fifth (perfect, diminished or augmented).
Thanks ❤️
What’s an inversion?

It’s in the damn description!

I love that word
You mentioned the triad triumphs will be added to Fretboard Live course does that include the self pace edition?
Yes! I’ll be adding a few of the triad Triumph exercises into the Self Paced edition! :-)
So would it be worth it to also purchase the course separately?
