i use it for my simracing setup with my simcube pro 2 too and also my previous F3 car was equipped with it. And when i buy the F2 car or if i find a good deal for a f1 car from 1991 to 1999 will be equipped with it because is simply rock solid and amazing. If u watch the race u can see that often the marshals are not able to put the steering wheel back and the driver c go back to do it. It's normal because its a sturdy piece really strong really perfect but using only for sim racing u have to get used to it. i love mine and Danny is a super nice guy. Thx for your video
Pretty cool, also what you said is another reason why I'm going with asetek. Especially after talking on forums and a worker with simucube stating that they have no future plans of a new wheelbase anytime soon. But they said they still haven't pulled everything they can out of the pro or ultimate yet? So I guess software stuff later. Regardless when I heard that and I know asetek won't either as they are still newer. I figured ok then I won't wait. I'm just going asetek invicta for my flagship daily driver. Even if i own multiple wheelbases already haha. It just intrigues me so much. Asetek really chose the fight path to go down. Also all of the fan and customer based questions and they way they listen then give us what we ask for. Thats just amazing to see. Then you get polls and stuff for what they want to know from us and then they go with that. Just huge things that caught my eye. I want to be with a brand/company like that. Especially with a ceo who doesn't hide things and says it how it is.
i'd like a quick release, but not buying one for each wheel, they should sell the adapter only, so i can mount the qr on the base and on the wheel the adapter
I find it hard to understand why go with super expensive QRs in sim racing... The inexpensive NRG ones on ebay or Amazon work great for 35 bucks. They come with base side and wheel side with electronic connections if needed.
Sorry but the best and most authentic feeling QR out there is the... Fanatec QR2 Pro. Yup, not kidding. It beats all of these. It is also a real motorsports QR so it has the look, feel, and performance, sadly price as well.
I was just curious about this quick release and found this video very interesting. Thank you!
I have 7 Simucube quick releases and it's just so solid. I've never lost the pin so "if it ain't broke don't fix it" 😊

I love this style review Mike, very personable and very well put together
Thanks man! I’m going to try and do more like this where it makes sense. I just hate being on camera 😂
Referring to their homepage Max Verstappen uses such a qr. I will gibt it a try. Maybe waiting for Black Friday.😊
Nice QR. But shipping costs to Germany are pretty high with 32 GBP.

Nrg and cdp QRs look nice.

I have ordered and tried the NRG ones from Amazon and had a bad experience they all had play in them.
@simracingden I purchased 2 or 3 from ebay with no issues at all. And they were the knockoff ones not the "real" NRG QRs.

Can't you just put a line at both ends to align?
There is a notch on the wheelbase side that helps to line up but yes a marking on the wheel side too would be helpful.
The main reason I bought moza r9 wheel is because of its quick release
Moza’s quick release is great too!
