What a lovely man. Little did he know what was ahead and so sad that he has past. His bandmates must be numb with shock. Almost 20 years with Il Divo and brought so much joy throughout those years. Even though he was separated from his wife they had a lovely friendship. Will miss him. 💔 He will be sorely missed. Without doubt they were my favourite.

So many souls lost to this terrible disease worldwide....all important, all meaningful. When we hear of a beloved performing artist we are fans of, it's like, on some level, a good friend is gone. An obvious tragedy for his family and friends but to the group itself. When Carlos mentioned in this interview....one member missing due to illness and the performance on-going with the remaining three, that was a pensive, if not portentous, moment.

Yes , i was totally shocked and very upset..been watching II Divo for many years since they first appeared on PBS so long ago..and what a horrible shock for his dearest mom and fans .. but it makes one realize HOW VERY VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS this virus really is..if only Carlos had gone to the hospital in the UK as soon as he felt ill..but he didn’t and realized what hed done…but too late after being placed in an induced coma ..as he explained to his ex wife..he knew how sick he really was..its sooo sooo horribly sad… RIP Carlos..you will be missed soo very much…and your wonderful Christmas songs this year…how delightful that would have been…

This is the second time I've watched this interview. You did a wonderful job with the questions and letting Carlos finish his thoughts. It is heartbreaking to think this could very well be the last lengthy interview he did. But Carlos did the interview with such joy and openness, almost like a conversation among friends. I think that's what makes his loss so difficult. He was so personable, so approachable, and exuded such a joy for life. We can be thankful to have been graced by his presence and that he shared his magnificent voice and personality with us. Gracías, Carlos. RIP.

I just heard he died of COVID! His last appearance was on December 6th, with the rest of his bandmates. After that, he went downhill and was put into an induced coma, which he never came out of. I'm so heartbroken! And before you preach....he *was* vaccinated! Rest in peace, Carlos. You will be missed by many.

he actually had only a single vaccine, Jansen. No booster. He had, however, suffered covid previous to the vaccine ...so probably Carlos Marin had some other pathological health problem which we do not know of. He then got covid again! Really sad.

Lovely to have this, as a memento mori. Still in shock at Carlos Marin's death. He is truly irreplaceable. His charm, humour, sparkle in his eyes and his phenomenal voice made Carlos a "one off" All I wish is that the others in Il Divo do NOT try and replace Carlos with another Baratone. If they do, I for one will never listen to them again. He was/is an integral part of the group and always will be. 😢

So many souls lost to this terrible disease worldwide....all important, all meaningful. When we hear of a beloved performing artist we are fans of, it's like, on some level, a good friend is gone. An obvious tragedy for his family and friends but to the group itself. When Carlos mentioned in this interview....one member missing due to illness and the performance on-going with the remaining three, that was a pensive, if not portentous, moment.
I absolutely love this man and am very saddened by the loss , what a beautiful soul inside and out and a voice made for the heavens.. sigh.....

Yes , i was totally shocked and very upset..been watching II Divo for many years since they first appeared on PBS so long ago..and what a horrible shock for his dearest mom and fans .. but it makes one realize HOW VERY VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS this virus really is..if only Carlos had gone to the hospital in the UK as soon as he felt ill..but he didn’t and realized what hed done…but too late after being placed in an induced coma ..as he explained to his ex wife..he knew how sick he really was..its sooo sooo horribly sad… RIP Carlos..you will be missed soo very much…and your wonderful Christmas songs this year…how delightful that would have been…
This is so fun to see. But also sad. How quickly life can change. And I am so happy that I have seen them in concert. About 8 times. Lol.

Such a shock to everyone. Of course each person's Covid related death is just as horrible, and all these families mourning, I think Carlos would have said. I am sure his band mates and family are devastated and it will take time for them to come to terms with this. I wish them lots of strength. Los pactos que hacemos💫el inició con Il Divo en Londres y finalizó también en Londres. Un ser muy sensible, muy especial el más simpático, sincero sencillo, con la mejor voz, humildemente creo el alma del grupo. No quiero juzgar ya que no conozco la interna, ni a los otros integrantes en forma personal pero Carlos emanaba bondad, profesionalismo, compromiso, carisma. Era un visionario y quizás eso generaba algún malestar. No se hay cositas sobre todo de un integrante que no me gustan. Toda la luz para Carlos es impresionante escucharlo conociendo el futuro, pero él estaba feliz, radiante. Bendiciones 🇺🇾🦋

This is the second time I've watched this interview. You did a wonderful job with the questions and letting Carlos finish his thoughts. It is heartbreaking to think this could very well be the last lengthy interview he did. But Carlos did the interview with such joy and openness, almost like a conversation among friends. I think that's what makes his loss so difficult. He was so personable, so approachable, and exuded such a joy for life. We can be thankful to have been graced by his presence and that he shared his magnificent voice and personality with us. Gracías, Carlos. RIP.

We are SO sad to hear this awful news. Our prayers go to his family and of course his fellow band mates, who must be truly devastated.
I just heard he died of COVID! His last appearance was on December 6th, with the rest of his bandmates. After that, he went downhill and was put into an induced coma, which he never came out of. I'm so heartbroken! And before you preach....he *was* vaccinated! Rest in peace, Carlos. You will be missed by many.

he actually had only a single vaccine, Jansen. No booster. He had, however, suffered covid previous to the vaccine ...so probably Carlos Marin had some other pathological health problem which we do not know of. He then got covid again! Really sad.
incredible to see him here in this interview and now he is gone because of Covid, stopping suddenly his life and all his future plans, the voice he had was just wonderful beautiful this is hard to believe. Today he was going to be back in Madrid for his homenaje, we will always miss you Carlos!!!

Lovely to have this, as a memento mori. Still in shock at Carlos Marin's death. He is truly irreplaceable. His charm, humour, sparkle in his eyes and his phenomenal voice made Carlos a "one off" All I wish is that the others in Il Divo do NOT try and replace Carlos with another Baratone. If they do, I for one will never listen to them again. He was/is an integral part of the group and always will be. 😢

Wow just watched this amazing interview, when Carlos said Il Divo is 4 people and the time one was off sick and they sung as 3 it wasn't the same because if there isn't 4 then it's not Il Divo. Such a shame he isn't with us, a great loss to the music world.
